Starting with the friendly, yet professional staff, your entry until your exit following your appointment, you will find continuity. Dr. Kumar has managed to recruit, employ and retain a staff, who reflects his warm caring, compassionate and professional experience for his patients. You will feel and know that you are receiving the best possible care. Dr. Kumar went above and beyond by Appealing my health insurance company’s Denied Procedure for me. He won an Approval of the procedure for me. And, I really appreciate Dr. Kumar’s extra effort on my behalf. I know that he would do as much for you also. I do highly recommend Dr. Kumar and Carolina Retina Institute.

Not satisfied at all. Looks like he is just more behind money, surprise to see “X-RAY” charges on my Insurance EOB, however it was not performed during my visit. Least bothered about patient care.

Dr. Kumar suggested an eye injection. i was told there was financial help available and when I called the office to find out if I qualified the surgery scheduler told me she would tell me when i came in for the procedure and refused to look it up. When I came in for an appointment, Dr. Kumar would ask me if I am still using the eye drops. I would have to tell him he took me off them a year ago. Surgery scheduler doesn't return calls and when I mentioned this to dr. Kumar, there was attitude from him. I changed doctors.

Had me coming every month for 4 months instead of doing my cataract surgery and then gave me a script 4 eyeglasses that was incorrect & eyeglasses store said I would need another script after my cataract surgery so I felt like his patients are padded revenues and like he was cleverly robbing the elderly which from what I see are most of his patients.. I would never send unsuspecting people to him
