Dr. Amish Gandhi was raised in the Northern Shenandoah Valley in Stephens City, VA. He received his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Center. He is a published researcher and Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, as well as Internal Medicine.
Prior to joining Nova, Dr. Gandhi practiced at an endocrinology clinic for four years in Baltimore, MD. While there, he specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus I and II, osteoporosis, overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), thyroid cancer, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. He also gained expertise in thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound guided thyroid biopsies.
Dr. Gandhi prides himself in being a compassionate, caring physician. He is dedicated to helping his patients improve clinical outcomes and quality of life. He is a member of The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and The Endocrine Society.
