I was diagnosed with Graves Disease by another doctor in Dallas area that did not explain things well. I wanted a second opinion, so I researched endocrinologist in Tyler area and was blessed to find Dr. Long. I was very emotional which is pretty common with untreated thyroid problems. Dr. Long was kind and explained my blood work results clearly. I feel comfortable asking her questions. She responds quickly to messages about medication and symptoms. I feel like she listens to me.

Professional, compassionate, listens and is proactive. The ultimate medical professional.
in Gilmer, Tx |
I saw this doctor for over a year. I never had full faith in her, because she always discounted my concerns with an attitude of superiority. When I mentioned new articles or maybe tests that might be relevant, I was always shrugged off with a "Oh, that's not necessary" or similar type of attitude. She was very dismissive in her attitude towards me. I would not recommend her.

BEST ALL AROUND EXPERIENCE! I live in Dallas, and have visited a handful of endocrinologist in the metroplex. After endless attempts to find a doctor in Dallas, all I ended up with was a bad taste in my mouth. Making the drive to Tyler to see Dr. Long, is the best move I could've made in managing my diabetes. The staff at her office is fantastic, and they make scheduling your appointments very stress free. Unlike my other experiences she actually listens to my concerns and is easy to talk to.
in Gilmer, TX |
Don't walk, RUN!!! Don't waste your time, seriously! When a patient has a problem & the primary doctor refers them, don't ask why the doctor referred said patient & continue to make the patient feel like your time is being wasted. Will NEVER step foot back into this office. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable, like I couldn't have the issues I clearly was having. Never again.
in Pine Mills, TX |
Excellent bedside manner, young, bright and intelligent physician, appreciate her demeanor and the time she spends explaining my specific disease process, treatment options and ensuring timely follow up to my requests.
