Very nice and knowledgeable on my daughters injury. Highly recommend. Staff is very rude and inconsiderate at best. Long wait time and no update after an hour and a half.

Dr Detterline did both of my knee replacements. My scars are smaller than any other knee replacement patient I have seen. This makes for a speedier recovery. I can do things now that I had not been able to do in years. My physical therapist was so impressed with my incisions and recovery pace that he asked me for my surgeons name to use for his mother.

Dr Detterline is not warm and fuzzy, but he is very talented. He explains things clearly. I had surgery on my knee and literally had no pain. I was walking without a cane in less than a week but used it because he said I should. He treated my son for a severe ankle sprain-ligament laxity is the only reason it didn't break- and for a separated shoulder that was a borderline case for surgery. Dr D said he thought PT would be sufficient and he would get full range of motion back. He was spot on.

He is very methodological with his approach. I had knee surgery and returned a few years later with a shoulder injury. He was fantastic on both accounts. On the last surgery he was spot on with recovery predictions, etc. Unlike what every other person I know that had similar surgery, I did not experience the level of discomfort expressed by them. I did really like how he went over the before and after photos of the surgery as well.
