Dr. Allison Rodgers, MD
Q & A with Dr. Rodgers: What is your approach to medicine? I strive to care for patients with the compassion and expertise that I would appreciate from my own physician. After beginning my fertility training, I was diagnosed with secondary infertility. Having gone through the full range of infertility therapy, as well as pregnancy loss, has deeply impacted the way that I care for patients. I can appreciate the physical and emotional stress that often accompanies infertility in a unique way. What do you like best about being a physician in reproductive medicine? I enjoy identifying problems that are causing infertility and finding unique and individualized solutions to help each patient be successful. Why did you choose to work in the field of reproductive medicine? It is so rewarding to help couples overcome fertility problems and have the family they desire. In your practice, what are you most proud of? I am most proud of the several thousand babies that I have helped my patients conceive. I love when patients bring their babies back to meet me! It is a wonderful reminder of the impact we have on patients' lives. Share something unique that most people don't know about you. I was the third generation in my family to attend the University of Michigan, and second generation to attend the University of Michigan Medical School. My father and I even shared an anatomy professor. What do you do for fun in your spare time? Horseback Riding, Reading, Baking Dr. Rodgers personal experiences with both secondary infertility and pregnancy loss have given her a unique insight into reproductive medicine and the patient experience. She is well known for her compassionate and individualized patient care.
