Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Kavalich "The Coach Approach is the philosophy utilized in the care of my patient. The patient is able to realize that the physician is not the boss of his or her body the patient is the boss of his body. The physician is the coach. If the patient follows the coach's advice he will win. Winning is that the patient will feel better, stay out of the hospital, avoid dialysis, perhaps forever, and will live a long time. If the patient doesn't follow the coach's advice he will lose and the opposite will happen. If the patient wins who gets all the credit. The patient does! If the patient loses who gets all the blame? The patient does. Therefore, you are not a victim you are a boss! The final part of my philosophy is that this is just an example of your worst fear. Most people really worst fear is the unknown. Therefore, I won't keep any secrets, I will tell you the complete truth. I will answer all questions because information is power."
