I went to Dr. Nairizi for long term rib pain. My family doctor recommended Dr. Nairizi after several xrays and MRIs did not show any problems. Dr. Nairizi gave me two nerve block injections which gave me temporary relief and qualified me for a Medial Nerve Ablation. During the procedure he was always asking about my pain level to make it as painless as possible. Two days after the procedure I woke up at 3:30am to go to the bathroom and after 2 years I had no pain getting out of bed and walking. Time will tell how long I will feel pain free but I am so thankful to Dr. Nairizi for his compassion and knowledge

No bedside manner
I believe Dr Nairizi is competent, at least in what he did for me. I had ablation done to the nerves in my lower back. He however has almost no bedside manner. His assistants are mostly who you see when you go in for procedures. He comes in, mostly talks to the assistant, does the procedure and afterwards pats your arm and asks if your doing ok then walks out. During one of my procedures last year he and the assistant talked about the office schedule, it was like I wasn't even in the room. I finished the procedures I had to do and I will never go back. The nerves have grown back bringing with it my back pain and I am now looking for a different doctor.

I often avoided pain specialist due to the way I seen family treated by them in Reno Sparks area. After many years of just dealing I took a leap of faith based on recommendation of primary care doctor. I was treated with respect and was evaluated very thoroughly. After explaining all aspects of why I was hurting and what could be done to treat it he came up with a comprehensive plan to combine medication and treatments to address each of my issues and his extremely helpful and professional staff always goes above and beyond to work with my very busy schedule, my crazy health insurance and my specific needs. I felt so comfortable coming to this provider that I even had my wife switch doctors so she could receive the quality service every person deserves. I would recommend this provider to anyone in need of actual assistance with pain issues. His staff is the best including the other providers that work with him

Well I have had cancer surgeries, Numerous operations, staphylococcus infections, Numerous trips to urgent care, and brought my Father in for sever back pain, and I can tell you this group was the best team I have ever worked with!!! They were very knowledgeable, dealt with my elderly father very well, and they were amazing, from not only from the nurses, PA Team , and the MD way exceeded my expectations!! I would highly recommend this Team to deal with any medical issue, be it pain related and not pain related! Truly a blessing we chose to go to this operation. Like I mentioned, I have been in Medical situations, much more than the average person, and these guys were Number 1!!! Thanks so much!!

In August of 2020, I made an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Nairizi to simply discuss pain management options due to my pain management physician denying any sort of options. As a result of the consultation, with the Physician Assistant and then about twenty minutes with Dr. Nairizi, Medicare denied the “New Patent and Procedure” per Dr. Nairizi’s third-party billing company. I received a bill, informing me that I owe $909 from “Tahoe Pain Specialists.” I was informed that Medicare had denied the medical charges because it was a Workmen’s Comp claim. I called the billing company and I have explained that this is not related to Workmen’s Comp. I called Medicare and I was informed that Tahoe Pain Specialists had submitted the incorrect Billing Codes, when they billed Medicare in the amount of $1,300 which was for a “New Patient Consultation and Procedure. I had no procedure. I have made several attempts to reach out to Dr. Nairizi’s staff and this is an ongoing problem.

The latest office manager is a soulless subhuman. I have multiple medical conditions and followed the doctor from his previous medical group. After she was hired, she requested that I jump through a whole bunch of hoops. She was totally cold and without compassion. I requested to speak with the doctor or his medical assistant and she refused. I hung up with her on my cell and expressed frustration to my husband. The cell phone did not disconnect fast enough and she claimed that I cursed at her and then hung up. I was hanging up to start the process to do what she had requested, which was a letter from Dr. Gentry. The next day she call me back again and told me that she had illegally recorded me. (She called me with no notification that I was being recorded). Then, she claimed that I was no longer welcome as a patient and hung up on me after yelling at me for hanging up on her. She was totally out of control, unprofessional and on a power kick. She should be FIRED.

He tried tirelessly to gain approval from my Insurance Co and finally after 2 years it was approved. Dr Nairizi performed the Vertiflex Procedure on me a week ago and I am happy to report my pain is but a memory. Thank you Dr Nairizi for relieving me of this constant hot poker pain. Do not trust these uneducated liars. I was with him for years & all he tried to do is make me look like a addict. He has zero emotion in his eyes & only cares about $. Every time I was truthful with him he used it against me. He even went as far as forcing me to see a addiction psychologist because I took a old med he prescribed me. My very first visit he threatened to not give me no pain medication having severe chronic pancratitus. In the end his secretary forgot to set me an appointment & I called saying I had no appointment card. She lied and made a fake appointment in which I showed up to and nobody was there. Calling the office back the same reception deny everything! Not having any medication he filled out a one week supply to cover me but did not fill it out correctly. By the time I got the script it was the day before the appointment & was too sick so my mom called to reschedule. Later on that day the same secretary called to tell me I was fired for a no show. 100% truth

Been going to Dr. Nairizi for about 6 years. He has implanted an intrathecal pain pump. I had both hips replaced, diabetic neuropathy in both feet and two surgeries on each shoulder for soft tissue repair. With six areas of pain, the pain pills we're not even touching the pain. The pain pump has given my life back to me. There are no side effects and I have discontinued all pain pills since the pain pump was implanted. I then had a DRG stimulator implanted. That was specifically for my neuropathy. I had not been wearing shoes for two years because of the pain in my feet. After the implant, I was able to wear shoes again and walk without so much pain. I would recommend both implants and Dr. Nairizi to anybody.

started seeing him after I fell out of bed. the fall caused my arthritis in my knees to act up and my fybromyalia to flare up. I had an immense amount of pain from different parts of my body all contributing to my overall sense of pain.Dr Nairizi has eliminated each contributor one section at a time. I have gone from using a cane back to not needing one. If you are experiencing pain and want to live life without opiods make an appointment and see if he can help

As for the ablation injections, he connects with the area needing relief, which IS the most important aspect; however, this last time, he didn't allow time for the lidocaine to set in first, no apology. After 3 1/2 yrs he began referring to me in another name. Re his staff - if you want to be yelled at, have your appt forgotten/scolded for being 'late' (due to their faulty phone system, even they admit this), oh, and body-shamed, etc, then go for it. Btw, the first 3 yrs were great! (sigh)

A few years ago he was amazing as a doctor. However now it’s all about money and how many pain pumps/stimulators he can put in people. I feel he no longer cares about his patients. It is very sad!
