Beautiful Soul
I have seen Dr Robenzadah for 3 years or longer now. I was forced by my mother but he is truly the only person that can be there for certain people who feel very misunderstood. He can understand. And point out many things in a smart way. Thank God for him. He has brought so much to me and my life. I would recommend him to everyone. I have seen many therapists/shrinks before but never spoke I have very bad anxiety and they felt weird to talk to. Alfred did at first too, but then no longer. Thank you Alfred for everything.

I would ABSOLUTELY not recommend this doctor to other patients looking for care about sensitive matters. Like someone else here said, he would constantly talk AT you and kept on disagreeing with and invalidating your personal experience with a medication that you have been taking for years or months and that you know exactly how it affects you. He is the opposite of a caring and understanding doctor and is horrible with trauma patients. He has no sense of how you should interact with a trauma survivor and seems very controlling and power hungry. Furthermore he kept on billing me for certain exams that he never took and that my insurance didn't cover and nobody told me that that was the case or that an exam was even performed in the first place so basically he just wanted to get as much money out of me as possible. Avoid him at all costs! There are much better psychiatrists out there that actually care about you and your well-being.

I had been to a few other treatment programs for trauma, anxiety and depression . As a woman, I was looking for a comfortable place where I could deal with the underlying issues that were fueling my unhappiness. Dr R has a kind non-judgmental style and a great way of communicating. He is always so present/attentive I know I am truly heard and understood. His thoughtful insights are always gift wrapped in perfect analogies that make the point so obvious that I wonder how I ever missed it.

Can't find anything nice about this man. He has a calm demeanor, but with an undercurrent of threats and the most horrific back office ever. You cannot ever get in touch with him and then he insists you do so with some online service that doesn't work so he can bill for it. No care for his patients whatsoever. Only cares for himself and that you follow everything to the letter or he will drop you as a patient. We happily left for a MUCH better psychiatrist. He was trash!!

Forgets to fill prescriptions, ignores messages when you reach out about it -- also flat out didn't let me in for an appointment, blamed me as a "no show" despite spending 20 minutes in front of the door buzzing and calling -- even talking to his staff on the phone (apparently at a different location.) Seemed like a great guy and knowledgeable dr. Unfortunately, lack of organization and communication soured the experience for me. Even after that, he still blamed me for the errors.

Rushed to give me a new medication and diagnosis on the first appointment, despite me being comfortable and stable with the old one. I asked another therapist for a second opinion, and they said he shouldn't have done this. Thought it was strange-- he did not respond to my messages and concerns about this. Would not recommend.

He explains everything so well offers so much specific guidance. He is very generous with his time and attention. His practice guidelines are pretty strait forward and he explains them upfront. Early on I missed an appointment and was charged a no-show fee, I never made that mistake again.

Cancelled an appointment the day before an appointment, had also emailed him that day as I knew that his answering service was unreliable. My email went ignored and I had been charged a no-show fee. I forwarded him my email and also asked why I was charged when I very clearly stated that I could not come. Long story short he called me a liar. I again, forwarded the email and I get a reply saying “great news I can now fit you in tomorrow” no thanks. Never followed up with other docs when he said

I am so happy he left the basement office in that old brownstone he was in. It was depressing and impossible to get the door open because I could never figure out how to use the code lock on the door. Now he has a beautiful new office with plenty of sunlight and much more availability. Now that there are no other providers taking up precious time and space I have more access to Dr. Robenzadeh, and that was the only thing that was missing before.

Visits were frustrating because he does not listen to his patients. He will talk AT you and contradict how you say you feel. His treatment made me very uncomfortable knowing that he was not actively listening to me. Additionally, he would not return my calls or emails on multiple occasions and I was left outside his door as if he had forgotten I was there for an appointment more than once.
