Dr. Nicolosi specializes in adult heart surgery. He performs coronary artery bypass (CABG) and transmyocardial LASER revascularization for coronary artery disease. He performs the full range of heart valve surgery/ including mitral valve repair and minimally invasive valve surgery. He is the director of heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support at Froedtert Hospital/ and performs a variety of operations for heart failure/ including heart transplant/ ventricular restoration (Dor procedure)/ and implantation of left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) for either bridge to transplant or destination therapy. He has a strong interest in surgery for aortic diseases including aneurysm and dissection/ particularly those that occur in patients with connective tissue diseases such as Marfan s/ and he is a member of the thoracic aortic stent graft team.
