Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Apazidis "As a board certified orthopaedic and spine surgeon, I believe that all patients deserve the chance to live and work without pain and enjoy their lives. Surgery cannot solve all your health problems but there are certain instances where highly specialized and minimally disruptive surgery can help. Every patient should be aware of a multitude of nonsurgical options that can also be employed and our job is to provide patients with all the information they need to make an informed decision.  Every patient is different and needs to be evaluated and treated as an individual with specific needs. Dr. Apazidis will take the time to listen to your concerns and develop a treatment strategy that will meet your needs and get you to where you have to be to take care of your work, your family, and your life.  "

He is a good doctor but trying to get a hold of him for questions is nearly impossible. Because he has several offices the staff rarely returns phone calls. I saw him in Patchogue and because it's not his office the staff there treated me as though I wasn't there. It was past annoying and frustrating.

Dr. Apazidis set my mind at ease after I got injured in a car accident. His bed side manner is amazing, you can tell he loves his job and really cares about you and your recovery. He is extremely knowledgable and explained everything to me in detail. My brother went to see him to for his own injuries as well and he agrees that Dr. Apazidis is the best doctor see. I would definitely recommend him to other family members or friends.

Found Dr Apazidis in December 2016...had horrible low back pain for years...he looked at my MRI and told me the problem and how to fix it...he was very caring and explained everything thoroughly...he made me feel comfortable and I trusted what he thought...I had a discectomy and fusion at L4 and L5 on Jan 19 2017.....he fixed me I am 2 weeks post op and feel amazing already....Great Man Great Spine surgeon!!!
in Patchogue |
Very good doctor, he performed my spinal fusion om December 2012. Now I can walk again with no pain and having a normal life. To bad he is not accepting my insurance anymore otherwise I'll still be his patient. Anyways I still recommending him to everybody who asked me for a good doctor for their back problems.
in Farmingville, NY |
He is AMAZING! I had a hard time finding a doctor ~ as a new patient ~ that would give me an appointment that work around my schedule. They made it very easy and booked an appointment in less than a week on a Monday @ 5pm...keep in mind that I was a new patient. That's unheard of! It gets better..Dr. Apazidis was friendly and professional all in one! He clarified and explained everything and gave me amazing advice. I would absolutely recommend him to EVERYONE in need of a Ortho Specialist

Dr.Apazidis has been taking care of me for 3 years for my back&neck . He is so caring. He did surgery on my neck back in 2013.on C6&C7. Five weeks later I was on a 8' ladder on top of the ladder I was going to step down I Fell back and hurt my back and neck. Two days later I saw him. He was so upset for me. I could not ask for a better Doctor then Dr.apazidis could not do enough for me. He is one great Doctor.
in St James, NY |
I went to see him with one problem, although I have several complaints, but he was very thorough in addressing all my areas of pain. He analyzed my walking and ordered many tests. I feel like he was very thorough and will get to the bottom of things. Most doctors only want to hear about one complaint and insist you come back for each problem but that isn't the case here.
