The McLean office staff were polite and I was seen very quickly. However, Dr. Croog didn’t think my thumb was a big deal and implied I didn’t need to be there. He was impatient with his staff and me. Actually, he interrupted me when I was trying to tell what happened and told his assistant what to do. The only reason I knew what was happening was Dr. Croog had a stenographer. So Dr. Croog had to tell him what to put in my file. I know that my thumb is broken at the tip and my nail should grow back. However, I have no idea if the numbness that I’m having is normal. Nor do I know if the nail will be “normal”. Dr. Croog never gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. He rushed on to his next patient. I literally had to ask the assistant if he would clean my thumb (there was dried blood everywhere) before he wrapped it. I realize my injury was minor in comparison to others’, but I do deserve respect.

Found very attentive and competent as he examined my wrist function and MRI results. Clearly explained what is next and my options should the wrist widget and occupational therapy do not work.

Dr.Croog, is patient and competent. I broke my wrist, he clearly explains the fracture and what the location meant as well as my option for healing. He asked me what I do for living . I told him I am a hairstylist. He took that in consideration and opted not to have surgery. And I appreciated that. He is a great listener, I told him I was going on vacation and he remembered on my next visit. I was so surprised sign of a great listener. He gave me a comfortable traveling cast. Smart guy ??

I had seen Dr. Croog multiple times for a nerve impingement which ultimately led to a surgery recommendation. This was the better part of 10 years ago and the surgery didn't resolve the issue. I wound up going to another doctor for several reasons but mainly because on 3 separate occasions I waited over an hour for him to come into the treatment room. He was quick and cursory and didn't offer many solutions or explanations. I'm a musician so not being able to feel your hands is a big deal, but I

Thank you Dr. Croog . And Thank you to PA who was on call on the New Year’s Eve. She took the time to reassure us and gave us all the information that we needed .

Dr. Croog is without exaggeration the worst doctor I can remember having seen. He treated me impatiently as if I were an inconvenience to him. After about 10 minutes he got up to leave even though I'd barely asked him about how to go about caring for my wrist pain. He gave me almost no advice on what to do other than passing me off to a physical therapist, and he even recommended an unnecessary X-ray (for typing pain) that he himself freely admitted would probably find nothing.

Great experience with Dr. Croog when trying to get to the bottom of the issues I was having with my right arm and hand. He was very thorough in his examination and recommended a much needed MRI. With the debilitating pain now under control, I am pleased with my visit and quality of care.

Saw in April 2017 after my primary suggested him for something he suspected called "trigger thumb' which I had never heard of before. Made appointment, no delay, seen on time, checkout was seamless. Dr. Croog explained what 'trigger thumb' was, complete with a visual aid. Gave me a cortisone shot and a few days later I had the use of my thumb back.
