I saw Dr. Chung for pain/limited range of motion/swelling in my left wrist. Dr. Chung did an examination of my wrist and diagnosed me with de quervain syndrome. That explained the pain on the thumb side of my wrist but I voiced my concerns about the pain on the top of my wrist. I expressed that the top of my wrist felt like it was grinding, it was painful to flex my hand (up/down/side to side), I had swelling and numbness in my fingers. He had someone come in to perform a sensitivity test. Afterwards, he came in and told me that my symptoms didn't make any sense and they didn't align with de quervain. He made me feel like I was confused about my own pain and symptoms. 5 years later, I saw another orthopedic surgeon who reviewed my MRIs and diagnosed me with ulnar abutment syndrome. Not only do I have ulnar abutment, I have 2 ganglion cysts, carpal tunnel and a slight tear in one of my tendons. I wouldn't recommend him.

Dr. Chung was pleasant and listened to me explain my condition. He performed the evaluation, and recommend an appropriate procedure, based on the injury. He was realistic in the outcome of the procedure, and noted if it did not work, return and a more invasive procedure can be preformed. I left the office totally confident my injury would be repaired after exausting all procedures, starting simple and ending complex if needed.
