Dr. Gorbonos is an amazing doctor. I can't say enough about how he and the rest of his team took care my Bladder cancer. They performed a Radical Cystectomy with NeoBladder construction on Feb. 1, and I was home on Feb. 5. I've been back for two follow up appointments and have been seen early on both occasions. Dr. Gorbonos is easy to talk with, and explains the medical condition in a way that can be understood. Dr. Gorbonos along with Dr. Van Kuiken, and the rest of the team were AWESOME!

I was referred to Dr. Gorbonos by my local urologist who felt that I would receive the most up-to-date treatment for my bladder cancer from this physician. He performed my robotic radical cystectomy and I was home 4 days later. He told me I would have little pain afterwards and he was right! I feel so lucky to have him as my urologic oncologist. He makes a point of actively listening to my concerns and is one of the most patient doctors I've ever had.

Dr. Gorbonos diagnosed my prostate cancer after I had an elevated PSA test. Dr. Gorbonos performed surgery in January 2014 at Loyola University Medical Center. The surgery went well. I have been going back for follow up visits every 6 months. I have been cancer free.

Family member had a 9 hour surgery with Dr. Gorbonos and he still took time to come and seat with our family members which was about 10 of us and explain outcome of surgery and prognosis. Let us ask questions and he answered in a manner that all of us understood. Excellent Doctor!

Dr. Gorbonos was my 2nd opinion. The first doctor I consulted recommended a more radical surgery that concerned me. I wanted to fight to save my diseased kidney and Dr. Gorbonos felt he had the skill and I felt his confidence. A patient puts a tremendous amount of trust in his doctor and I followed my gut instinct. My outcome was very positive. I am very fortunate to have surrounded myself with a good doctor and a good hospital. I am doubly fortunate to have strong family and friend support.
