Dr. Fridman Jr's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Fridman Jr "I am a 3rd generation doctor with a fluent command of Russian and working command of Spanish. My wife believes that I went into medicine for the right reasons, and that's why my family still rents 2 bedroom apartment. Here's my message to you: As a patient, you need to know about your medical care to make sure you get the best care without unnecessary re-testing or ineffective treatments that have been tried before. Please expect to learn what I ask you. This will invariably involve your medical conditions, medications, tests. Remember that your medical history is confidential between you and your doctor. This means that medical specialist or a hospital that is treating you for the first time know nothing about you, unless you authorize your information to be released to them. Better yet to bring your most recent lab work from your ordering doctor to a new doctor. Know your medications inluding generic name, dose, frequency and why you are taking it. Create a wallet size list of your medications, and preferrably your medical conditions. If you don't have pharmacy's printout on the common side effects of your medication, you can access via internet and I recommend to use this site: https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus. This is a government website that does not have financial bias in providing patient information regarding medical conditions, procedures, and medications. The information is also available in Spanish, and some other languages. You can also use this website to research vitamins, supplements, and herbals. Unfortunately in the United States, there is no regulation on the claims made by manufacturers of these products; neither there are strict regulation on the purity of the ingredients of vitamins, herbs and supplements. Thus you take the vitamins manufactured in U.S. at your own risk. There is much better oversight of these products in Europe, but they are not easily obtained. It's tough journey to be a patient, but I will guide you along the way and hopefully will help you obtain the results that you want. Thanks, Dr. Fridman.

I have never been more disappointed with a doctor in my life. He shows little to no knowledge. When I went in for a concern regarding a bump on my stomach he told me he couldn't think of what the name was and told me to email him. Then when I went back in because I ended up in Urgent care twice in a...more
