Dr. Platt is one of the most caring and capable doctors. He is always patient and takes the time to answer questions and explain treatments, etc. I like a doctor who listens and takes my thoughts and feelings into consideration. He's very knowledgeable and I feel confident in his decisions and his treatments.

I can not say enough good things about Dr Platt. He was kind and compassionate and guided my family through the final days of my mother in law’s life at the end of her stay at Sunnyview rehab hospital. He took his time and explained every step of the process and included her in the decision making. He never made us feel rushed and he always allowed us time to ask questions. This was one of the most trying times in our lives and he made it manageable for all involved. He made sure she passed with grace and dignity just as she wanted. Kudos to Dr Platt, a lung Dr with a huge heart!

Dr. Platt is thorough and takes time to discuss any issues. I have been seeing him in Amsterdam, NY for two years now. He has an interesting process. He transcribes his notes verbally at the end of the appointment. This gives you a chance to hear his complete diagnosis and gives you the opportunity to ask further questions.

Do not see this doctor! I have gone without pills many times because he refuses to refill prescriptions! I have had to get it done by other doctors in his practice because he will not do it! Worst doctor ever. Unprofessional. Awkward. Will not make eye contact. Doesn't even speak to you directly, speaks into talk to text software the whole time as if you're not even there. Currently looking for a better doctor.

Was referred for possible sleep apnea. I've seen him 3 times and each time thought he was relatively punctual, polite, seemed to know what he was doing and happy to explain and discuss. I'm now using a CPAP machine and feeling better. With surveys such as this I rarely give 5 stars and was reluctant to do so because the amount of experience I had with Dr. Platt is pretty minimal. However, I'm feeling better and can't think of anything negative about my time with him so 5 stars it is.
