He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine where he was selected as a Chief Resident. He went on to do his Cardiology fellowship at NYU, specializing in noninvasive cardiology. Dr. Shah was elected as a Fellow to the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. He was the recipient of a grant from the American Heart Association Heritage Affiliate"
