After being undiagnosed and then misdiagnosed by Neurologists at large medical facilities in two other states for over 30 years, I found myself living in the St. Louis area and decided to try one more time - and made an appointment at Wash U. Neurology. Dr. Pestronk and his staff were able to finally tell me what my problem is, and to provide treatment which has made a world of difference in my life. No, the diagnosis was not quick, it took a couple of years of them carefully watching changes in my body, but I am forever thankful to them. They are brilliant.

Treated like a lab rat. No compassion, no personal connection. No follow up. Residents are horrible-no bed side manner.

At 38, I was using a walker and powerchair, after my legs were feeling like I had 100 lb ankle weights and I couldn't walk, extreme pain. No diagnosis given in KC or KU, from many Doctors. I traveled across Missouri for answers. Dr. Pestronk assessment and test were above through and I had a diagnosis within an hour. I am now walking and would not be otherwise. I highly recommend Dr. Pestronk, he and his staff go above and beyond. They are working on many cures at Washington University too.
