Dr Kessler is a joy to be around and is absolutely the best doctor I've ever been to. He keeps up with modern health longevity, spends time with his patients and really listens (then comes up with many options and remedies), has a lot of compassion and is so funny.

I saw Dr. Kessler as a new patient for my annual physical. Dr. Kessler's exam was more entailed than the one from my previous physician, an internist. Dr. Kessler is very up to date with the new science of longevity. The science of medicine is rapidly changing and Dr. Kessler's practice incorporates the new science with the traditional practices. He is very patient and meticulous in his exam approach. I would highly recommend him.

Best doctor I’ve had. He is very thorough and takes as much time as you need. My husband has a condition that no one can quite figure out. He saw my son do something and my husband said he could do it too, so that kicked him off working on this unusual thing. He’s gone above and beyond for my family. I’ve never had a problem with my pharmacy and his office and I have regular prescriptions. He also found my mother’s breast cancer by doing another test on her that was unrelated. Her oncology radiologist told her how impressed he was. I suggested you look at the good reviews and check it out for yourself. I’m sure there have been problems because nothing is perfect. He had had some different nurses, but all have been good. Anyway, he’s good and I’m glad I found him.

100% agree with other reviews on bad communication, waiting over a week for prescription refills (no, it's not an insurance problem). Several of my pharmacies over the years have had the same trouble with not returning calls or faxes. After several days you have to give up on the pharmacy/doctor communication and call twice daily for yourself. No I'm not going to come see you several times a year to refill the same run of the mill prescription, especially when during my visit NOTHING we talk about has anything to do with my prescription and not everyone can wait weeks for meds. There's a time and place for these kinds of appointments, but this place is completely amateur. Dr. himself was much better a few years ago, seems scatterbrained these days, every single time I go in we go over the same outdated notes that are no longer relevant NO I'M NOT HERE TO WATCH YOU RIFLE THROUGH YOUR PAPERS AND GUESS THAT I'M HERE TO TALK ABOUT MY BLOOD TEST FROM 3 YEARS AGO. Get with the program, doc.

I've been going to Dr Kessler for over 10 years. He really takes time to answer questions. Sometimes he runs a little behind, but that's only because he's taking time to answer another patients questions. Staff has been extremely pleasant during all of my visits. He's fit me in for emergency situations a few times. Best doctor I've ever had.

I don't know where some of these reviews are coming from? For example: - Blaming the communication between his office and the pharmacy? This is more than likely the insurance company causing this problem. -Feeling rushed out ? Never had this experience with him...ever Staffing- This is a challenge, across the board no matter what "flavor" of medicine you are dealing with.

OK if all you need is an annual checkup but don't count on getting quality service. Closed on Fridays so if something comes up post 4:45 on Thursday you must wait until Monday to make an appointment for a few days later. Every interaction with both the front desk and nurses has been extremely unprofessional. You have to contact them to get your test results. You'll be doing the leg work to fix the communication between them and pharm. You'll never start an appt on time and you'll feel rushed out

I wish he were the Dr Kessler he was 15-20 years ago. I no longer recommend him. He can’t keep nurses or front desk staff and mentally he seems very scattered. He missed several major diagnosis is for me so I left. They were serious diseases and easy for the majority of doctors to diagnose.

After nearly a decade, it's unfortunate to say that there has been a serious decline in patient service. Staffing has changed since moving into the new office and his new nurse has a very poor attitude. She's unfamiliar with medications and their usages, and she makes no effort to smile or engage patients in conversation; not to mention if you question her she's extremely rude. There's a lack of listening in the office in general. Perhaps private pay weight loss should be their only focus?

Wow Sara, are you sure you were talking about the right doctor?? Dr. Kessler has been my primary care physician for over a decade. He is the most knowledgeable, compassionate, patient-oriented doctor I've ever known. My previous primary care doctor, who I had been seeing for 20 years, retired. I was distraught. I knew I would never find another doctor like her....that is until someone recommended Alan Kessler. I hope he never retires. He is one of a kind in today's medical world!

Dr. Kessler was unprofessional. My husband and I both went to see him. During both visits, Dr. Kessler talked about other patients (didn't use names, of course) but randomly described their conditions. The office staff was efficient, but there are signs all over that say "If we don't call you with test results in a timely fashion, call us. No call does not necessarily mean good news." Not impressed with their CYA attitude.

Dr.Kessler is what every physician should aspire to. Seeing him doesn't feel like the traditional doctor experience or like you are at one of the corporate care facilities where they are just shuffling you through the process. He takes the time to listen to you and hear your concerns. He's extremely personable, funny and the best in the city. Can't say enough good things about him. Highly recommended.

I started seeing Dr. Kessler last year at the suggestion of a couple co-workers. My first appointment with him, during my exam he asked if I had been diagnosed with a condition. A condition I suspected I had, but I had not been diagnosed with it up to that time. He is probably the most thorough Primary Care Physician I have ever been to. He has an exceptional bedside manner, and makes you feel comfortable from the first appointment.
