My primary care Doc referred me to Dr Ertel. I had no prior experience or knowledge of him & his reputation. In addressing wrist soreness along with tingling and vague numbness symptoms in my fingertips, he thoroughly explained the situation and all possible scenarios. I was very impressed with his communication skills. he gave me a detailed analysis that as a lay person I could grasp. He was patient and showed real concern. I honestly left feeling like I had discovered a medical gem-GGoolk

Dr. Ertel is chatty and easy-going. It can be difficulty to schedule an appointment with him, but I have never had an emergency, so am not sure about this. He is very knowledgable about the hand, and has helped me to think about mine. He doesn't jump to the surgical option, and, in fact, has prescribed splints for me as a first line treatment.
