I had a right TKR done by Dr. Altman and could not be happier. Waiting in his office reception for hours on end was a real downer but I have full range of motion and can run up and down stairs(not to often of course) and have him and my Physical Therapist to thank for that. I am sorry to read others have not been as fortunate but I would still see him again if needed.

I have many orthopedic challenges & visited Dr. Altman. The 1st visit left me cold so I got 2nd & 3rd opinions, I concluded Dr. Altman was only Dr I wanted. I had injections in both knees for over 10 years (1st was 5 years, 2nd was 3.5 years & current set 3 years ago). Also, had hip replacement 2 years ago & am thrilled with the outcome. It take awhile to develop relationship but is with the effort, don't give up on this excellent Dr., don't give up on him he's worth the effort.

In defense of this talented Orthopedist, I note my brother was referred to him after 5 orthopedic docs said my brothers problem was beyond their surgical skill We did not mind the wait Dr Altman spent the time my brother required Prior to his surgery my brother could not bend his knee more than 15 degrees so no bike riding difficulties even getting into car He now can do all Has a slight limp but far superior to options offered by others If you have a serious problem you need Dr Altman

I had a scheduled appointment , went to my first and only visit I personally thought the dr's bed side manner was ignorant . he told me what I needed done to stop surgery scheduling deck to have his gal that does the surgery scheduling make my surgery date , I called several times and left several messages not only on her voice mail but two other message machines within that office I still have NOT HEARD BACK FROM THIS GAL !! IM IN THE PROCESS OF LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT ORTHAPEDIC SURGEON!!!!!
