I was diagnosed with Endocarditis on my tricuspid valve and Dr. Afifi uses membrane from heart to repair my valve instead of having to replace it.
He did such an amazing job on my surgery. I barely even have a scar.
Most importantly, HE CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS!!! He made sure to see me everyday, and even made sure my parents were fullY educated on the procedure.
He doesn’t use the regular medical jargon but spoke in a way I could understand and I didn’t fear the process.
I have a better quality of life now!

Dr. Afifi is our hero who rescued and gave our 84 years old mom a second chance in life while being compassionate to her and our family. He is an outstanding cardiothoracic surgeon. Words could never express our gratitude for Dr. Afifi and all he did and continues to do for our mom. He is a truly amazing, compassionate & brilliant human being! I’ve had the privilege of knowing Dr Afifi through a family patient. I have always found him to be kind, dedicated, thoughtful and compassionate person. Dr Afifi performed a CABGX4 and I was able to return to work within six weeks. So far it has held up very well and I have not experienced any chest pain from angina. I've been very active since the bypass surgery and thank Dr Afifi for the excellent job he did. I now have a defibrillator and hope to live many more years. I imagine Dr Affi has improved since he did my surgery in June of 1997. 20 year anniversary in six months.

Dr. Afifi treated me for a spontaneous pneumothorax and performed a blebectomy. From the moment I met him, he thoroughly explained my condition and the treatment options. I had complete trust in his decisions and felt safe in his care. He is genuinely caring and followed up with me after my surgery. He is also very accessible; you can always reach him any time of the day. I highly recommend this surgeon! The best doctor!
