My experience with Dr. Perreira and her staff has been most unpleasant, I live on the island of Molokai. Post surgery, I tried to get help from Local physical therapists. Her staff called them (only 2 on island), and tried to block them from helping me. I am not required to obtain a referral with my insurance (PPO). I believe they get a kickback from the hand therapy place on Oahu, otherwise why would they block outer island people from seeking a local physical therapists. An hour spent on you tube provided all the information any therapists could provide regarding hand therapy for flexor tendon repair. Be prepared for bullying, and unproffessional tactics.

I had a tumor removed from my wrist that had been growing for over a year. I decided to see Dr. Aimee Perreira after it became uncomfortable to type on the computer. Dr. Perreira was very thorough in investigating what exactly it was before going to surgery---all this time I thought I had carpal tunnel, then I thought I had a ganglion cyst... turned out from Dr. Perreira's thorough examinations (x-ray and MRI scans), it was actually a giant cell tumor! Anyway, Dr. Perreira helped surgically remove it (THANK YOU)! She sent me to a hand therapist afterwards, and I can say now I have full function of my right hand. I was worried throughout the process about my dominant right hand because I use the computer a lot, and I go to the gym to lift weights. Looking back, I am absolutely glad to have undergone this experience with Dr. Perreira. She takes care in every thing she does. The follow up is exceptional. If you're reading this, Dr. Perreira is your gal you want to be taking care of you!

I am forever indebted to Dr. Perreira. I had a very serious dog bite that fractured my right ring finger. Before, during and after surgery she put me at ease, explaining the process and setting expectations for my post op and recovery. With each office visit, she has been extremely professional, compassionate and caring always answering my questions and addressing my concerns. I am grateful I still have function and movement in that finger, and it is to her I owe that.

I met Dr. Perreira through my friend who needed reconstructive surgery for his hand. Dr. Perreira spent remarkable time analyzing his situation, and determining courses of action to save a finger. She was patient, kind and understanding to my friend and his wife. Without her knowledge and skill, her patient would have suffered immeasurably. She's a God send with a caring heart! Supremely competent! If I ever need a specialist for surgery, Dr. Perreira will be the first on my list to call.

She performed surgery on our son. Her professionalism and ability to relate to him rather than directing all informational issues at us, his parents, made him very calm. She did an excellent job on his hand and was so thorough in her follow up. We would be very secure in having her care for all of our family members.

I was referred to Dr. Perreira for a UCL avulsion in my thumb. Being from off island, Dr. Perreira?s staff was very accommodating in arranging my initial appointments and all of my follow-up visits. From the very beginning, Dr. Perreira thoroughly explained my injury, options, surgery and recovery plan. Dr. Perreira and all of the Queens staff made me very comfortable during my surgery and my thumb and incision have healed beautifully. I highly recommend Dr. Perreira and Queen?s Hospital.

Dr. Perreira and her staff helped make the best of my situation when I visited the office with a torn MCL. Everyone made sure that I was comfortable and did their best to make sure all my concerns and questions were addressed. They were friendly, attentive, and the office staff did a great job following through with my imaging appointments and physical therapy. I'd recommend Island Orthopedics to anyone looking for excellent orthopedic care from a friendly group of doctors and staff.
