I hate to leave a bad review of a physician, but I was and am so very disappointed with Dr Carter. He started a new practice in Princeton, In. We decided to start with him because he treated my husband in the ER when he broke a rib. His care of my husband was good. Then I had a pinched nerve (still yet to be fully determined) in my neck, horrible pain down my arm and back. He saw me twice, then basically never spoke to me again. I left three messages in one day..7:00 AM, 1:30 PM, and again at the end of the day, hoping to get him before he left the office. That was a week ago. I have yet to hear a word from his office in any way. Needless to say, I have seen another Dr, been referred to a Neuro-Surgeon, been given a month of steroids (which was what I was asking for in my messages to him), and start physical therapy tomorrow. This all should have been done three weeks ago. A Doctor’s oath is “First do no harm”. But, Dr. Carter did MUCH harm to me!

Dr. Carter is by far the worst & incompetent family physician I have ever known. He replaced Dr. Dekyi who was absolutely wonderful! I’m sure that most of Dr. Dekyi’s patients are disappointed by Dr. Carter replacing him. Honestly I don’t even know how Dr. Carter had these many good reviews in the first place which makes me wonder if these positive reviews are even real! First of all, Dr. Carter is not a MD he is in fact a DO & they practice medicine very differently than a medical doctor. That being said, if you were a patient of Dr. Dekyi’s who was prescribed a benzodiazepine then you will either be taken off completely or prescribed a dramatically lesser dose which is extremely dangerous & irresponsible! It is dangerous because of the risk of developing withdrawal symptoms that potentially could be life-threatening! Dr. Carter does this without even slowly tapering those who have been on benzodiazepines for a long time! Not only that but he doesn’t aggressively treat illnesses!
