Today is the seventh anniversary of Dr Zivin performing an ablation on my heart. I am so grateful. Since then I have not had a single A-fib incident (previously it was several hours per week, often days at a time). My wife does not think I would be alive today without that surgery. Dr Zivin is my hero. Thank you ??

I needed pacemaker lead extraction surgery for two failing leads I researched and found Dr. Zivin. Met with him once and felt very confident. Surgery was delayed until my pacemaker battery got to six month life level. My battery unexpectedly depleted to End of Life--meaning I needed a replacement surgery asap. Zivin's office staff would not consider me emergency and could not work me in to schedule for at least one month despite my local cardiologist saying I could not wait that long. His nurses told me to just get a pacemaker battery change surgery and then do the additional surgery a short time later. WHAT? Why would you ever make a patient go through two surgeries? And why would insurance pay for that? Dr. Zivin never did call me back--was only able to speak with two different nurses who seemed to think it was no big deal to have two surgeries. Very uncaring. You are just a number to them. No thanks.

As a person with nurse's training who likes to be in charge of my own healthcare, I like Dr. Zivin's approach. He offers you options and you decide how to proceed. I don't like pushy doctors who decide things for you. I saw him on a Friday and had my surgery on Monday. I don't procrastinate and mess around with treatments that will do less than fix the problem, so he was on the same page with me.

Dr Zivin is excellent. Diagnosed me within minutes, while I had been to 3 other doctors who could not figure out what was wrong with me. Same symptoms given to each. He really listens. Very kind, compassionate and extremely smart. Would recommend highly.
