This content was provided by Dr. Deberry-Carlisle "Adair de Berry-Carlisle, DO, recently moved to Austin from Gainesville, Georgia, where she worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center as a trauma and acute care surgeon. Prior to that position, she served as trauma medical director at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Dr. de Berry-Carlisle earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and completed his pre-med coursework at the University of Houston. She earned her medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine-University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she also served as a teaching assistant, and completed residencies at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine. She returned to Houston to complete her surgical critical care fellowship at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and is a fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. de Berry-Carlisle has been published in medical journals, including Contemporary Surgery. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, among other professional organizations. She is fluent in Spanish."
