I was born in Iran. I finished Medical School in Tehran University. I came to United Sates in 1971, did my training in General and Orthopedic Surgery in Boston Massachusetts. While in training at Boston University in 1975 I fell in love with the Care of the Spine, which has continued all along. After practicing in Massachusetts for about 4 years, I moved to Texas. I have been in practice in Richardson, Texas since October 1982. I am married father of two wonderful sons, and 2 beautiful grand children, all of them living in Boston.

Dr. Sekhavat's Care Philosophy
Although I am a trained surgeon in Orthopedics, and have been doing spine surgery for over 30 years, I do believe very strongly in conservative treatment. In so many years of treating spine problems, I have come to the conclusion that in many situations surgery, and particularly spinal fusion can be avoided, and best is to be avoided.
