Yes, I always did. Since I was about 9 years old, I knew! I had a lot of dentistry done on me at that age because the importance of integrating nutrition/diet and its effect on oral health was not taught to me at a young age. I had an amazing pediatric dentist and I wanted to be able to teach others the importance of taking care of your whole body but the oral cavity as well. What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make? I am most passionate about getting my patients from one end of the oral health spectrum to the healthy and stable end. I get excited that I can educate someone every day on something that they might not even realize is going on and then helping them treat it. The best part of my job is when I can transform someone's smile and change their confidence. What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can't you stop talking about? I am passionate about staying healthy and feeling good! I love the way I feel after the gym or a nice long run and it is what keeps me going every day! I also am passionate about reading! I love to read! Mostly fiction and I can spend hours outside or in bed reading. What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for? I am known for being a quick and eager learner and at times a perfectionist. I think all dentists have that last trait and that is why when something does not go "perfect" or ideal, we of all professions take it to heart for days and sometimes weeks! I have a knack of enforcing the importance of a good tooth and bone foundation to build from and then transforming that to a great looking smile! How do you want to be remembered? Somebody that is approachable, friendly and fun to be around. For FunWhat is your favorite tradition from your childhood, which you would love to pass on to your children someday? Waiting until midnight on Christmas Eve to open up presents. Who's the funniest person you know? My sisters Melody and Sophia, especially when they are both together! Favorite ice cream flavor? Cold stone French Vanilla with one stick of a Kit Kat bar. Who do you admire the most? Why? My husband, Eric, he has given so much to make my dreams come true and I would have never been able to get through it all without his support! He's my prince charming.

Dr. Gawrys's Biography — Kyle Gawrys, DDS Dr. Gawrys is originally from the Midwest, born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Her interest in the dental field began at an early age and ultimately took her to Kansas City where she graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry. She continued her education there when she was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program. Once she completed her residency, Dr. Gawrys relocated to Las Vegas to practice for several years and is now making the Phoenix area her home. Providing the best patient care and experience are very important to Dr. Gawrys. She expands her knowledge and abilities by attending continuing education courses regularly, hands-on workshops and team building seminars. Dr. Gawrys’ goal is to achieve an enjoyable, healthy experience for all of her patients. It is very important to Dr. Gawrys to ease any concerns and make every patient, of all ages, comfortable.

Dr. Harris's Biography — Graduated ASU and the University Pacific School of Dentistry Founded Harris Dental 1979 Crown Council Member Lecturer on Esthetic Dentistry and Practice Management Phoenix Magazine Top General and Cosmetic Dentist HOW DID YOU ARRIVE AT RUNNING THIS BUSINESS? I purchased the practice when I was in dental school. I had to hire another dentist to run the office for 4 months until I graduated. Once I graduated, I started at the practice with 1 dental assistant and 1 front desk person. I did my own cleanings for several months until I was able to hire a Hygienist. This was back in 1979. DID YOU ALWAYS KNOW THAT YOU WANTED TO BE A DENTIST? WHY/HOW? No. I grew up on a farm milking cows and all I knew is that I didn't want to keep doing that. I did well in school and knew that I wanted to go to college. I moved out when I was 16 years old, but still milked cows to pay for college. I would milk cows from 2:30am – 8am and then go to school for the rest of the day. I was burned out! My Scout Master asked me to move to Arizona, which is when I met my wife Marcene. She was 16 and I, 18. After my mission, I went to school for Pre-Med. Marcene was working for a Dentist at the time. One night she came home and said, "My Father is a Physician and he was rarely home growing up, and the Dentist I work for gets to spend a lot more time with his family than my Dad did." It was then, that I decided to be a Dentist. WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT PROFESSIONALLY? Over the years I've enjoyed creating beautiful smiles, but I'm most passionate about the relationships I've created with my patients, my colleagues and my team. WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT PERSONALLY? WHAT DO YOU REALLY ENJOY? I've always said that my family comes first. They are my priority! Now that my kids have grown, my grandkids are at the age that I can do fun stuff with them. I always looked up to my Grandpa and he spent quality time with me as a child, I want to be able to do the same for my grandkids. WHERE DID YOU GROW UP AND WHY AREN'T YOU THERE NOW? I was born in Idaho. We moved 12 times by the time I graduated from high school. I ended up in Arizona because I love it here and I love my wife, who doesn't want to live anywhere but here. ANY SPECIFIC CHARITIES YOU LOVE, & WHY? Through my affiliation with Crown Council, I have been able to meet several like-minded people who are extremely remarkable and do a lot of good. I have been able to contribute to that good and some day when I retire; I hope to do more humanitarian projects. I don't love one specific charity over the others; I just love to help change people's lives.
