(A fellowship&nbsp;is an extra year of specialized training that a physician chooses to pursue after completing medical school and residency training).</p> <p>Dr. Mudrick and his staff evaluate and treat patients with hip and knee pain arising from arthritis, traumatic injury, and congenital / developmental conditions.&nbsp; He performs both partial and total knee replacements as well as total hip replacements using a minimally invasive direct anterior approach.&nbsp;&nbsp;He also treats young adult hip conditions including hip dysplasia and femoroacetabular impingement or ``FAI`` employing hip arthroscopy as well as periacetabular osteotomy, or ``PAO`` (a specialized procedure to reshape the hip socket in order to preserve a young patients native hip).
