Cox Medical Center SouthSpringfield, MO
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2005. At the time my insurance would only cover Mercy/St. John's medical care providers. Then my insurance switched to Cox medical providers. I am now disabled but I really like Dr. Wong. He cares about his patients and takes the time to answer any questions his patients have. Dr. Wong also takes patients who have Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery, or DBS. He and his staff both make their patients feel like family. I had DBS surgery 3 times by 2 different Doctors and Dr. Wong called me at home to check on me and to see how I was doing, who else does that anymore?
I'm old enough to remember when Doctors made house calls, but when that stopped, NOT one Doctor actually called their patients to ask how they were doing. Doctor Wong is the only exception to the rule. I appreciated him calling me to ask how I was doing. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wong if you have ANY movement disorders. Parkinson's Disease currently does not have a cure but it can be managed. Dr. Wong is the BEST!!
One last note, I lost my wife and marriage because I have Parkinson's Disease. If not for my faith, and belief in God I don't know where I'd be.
