Horrible. Treated my father with medications that were resistant to staph epidermis found in blood cultures. Denied it was in cultures even tho plain as day in my chart. Said only in skin. Family asked repeatedly to change medications, as they were not working to those indicated and that had worked for my father in the past. Meidl flat out refused. Was told we were not doctors and he has 20+ years experience! Ha... After 3 weeks of neglect under his care and St. Luke's hospitalists, my father passed away due to raging infection and malnutrition. Do not see Dr. Meidl. Puts false information in patients my chart records. Very arrogant. Knows it all. All we wanted was for my father's infection to be treated and to return home. My family is devastated. Totally responsible for my father's death.

This is the dumbest doctor I ever seen, please do not go to him, he is rude, and he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Made stupid comments, and when I complained he made false comments on my medical chart.

Poor bedside manner. Expressed the inconveinince that scheduling an appointment to treat a massive infection was to him. Slow at putting in referrals and ordering testing. Ignored major medication allergies while developing a treatment plan. Prescribed medication for treatment with a 4wk follow up and after receiving a 2nd opinion found out my infection is resistant to the medication prescribed. If you need an infectious disease Dr in Milwaukee do NOT see him!

I have never met a more arrogant, closed minded person. Crammed into a small examining room and lectured from across the room, Dr. Meidl stood with arms crossed ,while I cowered in a corned feeling very ill. He shot down every question on my list and wouldn't listen to my concerns about possible Lyme disease, saying that the basic test was enough. I have since been diagnosed with Lyme disease and continued to suffer for many months before I was retested, believing that he knew something about.

I have a bacterial/viral infection affecting central/autonomic nervous system. I tried seeing Dr. Buggy--gp sent referral. I was told Dr. Buggy does not acknowledge recurring ebv and follows CDC guidelines. That's like saying the world is flat. So he doesn't believe in shingles or herpes sores? WHY is he considered top ID doc when so behind literature/peer reviewed studies on stealth infections that plague many who don't know why they're sick and can only get symptoms treated w/ pharmaceuticals?

One of the best Doctors I have ever had. Apart from taking the time to inform me, I always felt very confident with him.

Wouldn't even help a HIV patient, then lied about not taking patients.
