Dr. Pinchot is a leading expert in his field and cares about his patients. He always keeps the best interests of his patients ahead of what is more profitable or more convenient. He has worked my 4 year son for over a year and has been consistently dependent and caring and down to earth the entire time. I feel more confident going to UW American Family Children's Hospital because of Dr. Pinchot being one of my child's doctors.

This provider damaged my superior laryngeal nerve during a thyroidectomy. My concerns post-operatively were downplayed and dismissed. I had to push to get an evaluation by a specialist concerning my voice. I now am unable to project, speak in monotone, and cannot sing. I asked for data concerning this type of injury occurrence for him and the whole practice and they would not respond. I was told they would follow up with me in April, but this did not happen. Every time I contacted staff about my concerns I was told that it was normal and that I sounded fine.

I have seen Dr. Weiss for 11 years for procedures related to a genetic disorder. She is hands down the best doctor I have ever had. I’ve been having other health issues not directly related to her field and she takes the time to respond to my questions with her advice where she can. I am moving out of State but will be returning to UW for my annual procedures as long as she’s there. She’s not only a great doctor, she’s a great human being.

Dr Sarto is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. She neglected a serious medical condition for 9 months. If it weren't for the swift action of a doctor at my local ER, I would not be here today.

Dr. Afifi is the best! He performed lat-flap and implants reconstruction for me after a bilateral mastectomy in January of 2015. He is skilled and, additionally, a caring, kind person who wants to see his patients satisfied. Would highly recommend him. His staff were fantastic, too.

One year ago today Dr. Dempsey performed MVD surgery due to my Trigeminal Neurolgae. I’ve been pain-free since, thanks to Dr. Dempsey’s skill, care, and the professional medical team he collaborated with. Dr Dempsey is second-to-none and I highly recommend him!

Dr. Dempsey performed my MVD in March 2018. I suffered from both typical and atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia. Since awakening from surgery almost 3 years ago I have not had one single TN shock or pain!!!! I would strongly recommend Dr. Dempsey and his team to anyone looking to undergo MVD surgery!!

Dr. Afifi was the absolute best! Just had my reduction 10/26/20. He answered every question during consult appointment 1 and told me so much information about the procedure that I didn’t even think to ask. He is super thorough and you can tell he wants the best for his patients. Before scheduling my surgery he asked me to come back for a second consult to nail down details and have me bring pictures of my desired size. He was so so so kind and answered every mychart message quickly and thoroughly, along with any concerns I had, and when I got denied by my insurance the first time he had his nurse call me to get every little detail down in my chart to ensure that my appeal would get approved. He called me twice the day before surgery to check in on me and answer any questions, and then called various times throughout the first week to check-in and see how I was doing with recovery and again answer any questions I had.

Where Dr Bradley shined the most for me was when I saw her interactions with the other staff. She was a team player. I saw no arrogance there. It made me trust her more and that allowed me to relax which made all the difference. Cancer is scary. There is nothing better than to hear the joy in your doctor's voice when she calls you to tell you the good news. Dr Bradley is an excellent doctor, I would recommend her to anyone I care about.

Dr. Gaumnitz is a very kind and insightful doctor. He spent a good amount of time with me discussing my rather complicated esophagus situation. He was compassionate and encouraging in his recommendations. It took me 13 months to finally get a diagnosis, having seen 5 other gastroenterologists and had 7 various tests done. I feel like I have the definitive answer, and I am thankful to Dr. Gaumnitz and the team at UW Madison for their professionalism and kindness.

Our mother was diagnosed with a glioma Grade II, with Grade III like characteristics by her original team of providers, who all said the brain tumor was inoperable, and even if it were operable, it was too risky and there would be no way her normal functions would not be damaged in the process. It feels like date that we found Dr. Baskaya and after his assessment, he determined it was operable. Aside from the fact that he is one of very few surgeons who has the experience and skills to successfully operate on this type of brain tumor in a deep part of the brain, his kindness, patience, humility, and genuine concern for the patient is nothing like our family has experienced before. I can't imagine how busy he is, but he always made sure to carve out time to answer our many questions and check in with our mother. He is one of those rare doctors who has dedicated his life and career to serve a mission to save lives and set patients up to have the highest quality of life. He and his Nurse

When one of Dr. Abel's partners was ready to remove my husbands kidney for an abnormality showing on a CT scan, Dr. Abel tried a stent first and the problem cleared up. He always explained what was showing on the CT in follow-up visits and took the time to explain everything. So grateful we got an appointment with Dr. Abel and not someone else.
