I had a life threatening illness and thought I was going to die. I'm very happy that Dr Chang was able to help me. I know hands down that he is one of the best surgeons you could ask for. I'm now healthy again living life to its fullest. I just want to Thank Dr Chang for saving my life. I wish there was a way I could repay him.
Such a warm, friendly, kind and professional person. Dr. Dean makes you feel like you are her only patient. She has a gift for listening and really treating you like you are a true partner in your own healthcare. Dr. Dean is very thorough too. We feel very Blessed to have found such a great Primary Care Physician.
He's very eager to recommend unnecessary hospital stays. Likely as a method to facilitate income for the hospital.
I have been seeing Mary Ellen for about 4 years. She is attentive, takes the time to listen, and gives positive input. I never feel rushed when I am in her office.
Doesn't take time with you too busy on his computer, then when you read your visit summary all of a sudden the conditons you have are gone, and he puts down that you can do all sorts of things you haven't been able to do well in years, some things you can't do at all. That results in your ablility to get the care you need impossible.
Extremely poor. I went in for a mole removal and skin check. The PA that saw me refused to do a skin check as they only do this for a history of cancer (not preventatively). I have since been to a new dermatologist and have had a mole removed that was moderately atypical and needed further margin removal. Had Dr. Brazil's office done a skin check on me this area may have been removed last year. If you want to see a dermatologist who is interested in preventing skin cancer don't go here.
Complete lack of respect for patients, zero follow up, always in a hurry, his receptionists are very unfriendly. He doesn't listen. I know my body best, there is something wrong. He didn't order a single test, just prescribed multiple anti-depressants. Repeatedly. It's not like I just saw him once. He never listened or tried to help me. What's his end game? Make me so loopy and drugged that I no longer notice that SOMETHING IS WRONG. He's an awful, awful Doctor.
Dr. Brazil, I believe and the opinions of 5 or more of his colleagues misdiagnosed my condition. They all said to a man they would not have treated me the way Brazil did. I had a condition on my face and as he and another Dr. were examing me chuckled as they told me why yes, it does look like cancer. He went on to treat me well knowing that the medication I had been taking was detremental to the treatment he was about to use on me. Cancer was found as I was transferred to another clinc and exten
Dr. Gangwal is my GP at Providence Medical Center. I've only known Dr. Gangwal for a relatively short time but he has done more for my health and well being than other GP's I've known in the last decade + I've been with Providence Medical group. Dr. Gangwal is a bright young man who is well trained and experienced but most of all he is a man of action. He does not hesitate to use his training and experience plus his intuition to solve your health issues. Dr. Gangwal is punctual and sensitive.
Dr Maribeth Duffy is the best doctor I have ever had. She listens, she is willing to work with the holistic approach, and above all is a family doctor who cares for her patients, and is not a corporate player. She is the best!
ER visit, did not listen to the family members concerns and deemed dismissive.
I went to St P's hospital via the ER in May 2016. Dr Z was the driver getting me dx of renal dysfunction/ kidney stones. She is a good communicator and team manager, alleviating some early fears and cognition / instruction issues during recovery. I hope she's getting a fair deal; she's a woman, from SE Europe and educated there. She is very intelligent, has a great bedside manner and team leader talent. Thanks Dr Z! The stones are ok for now, best wishes.
Worst doctor I have ever had. Wouldn't treat my daughter for ADHD and she was failing school, had to change doctors. She also wouldn't treat me for migraines- blamed it on TMJ. I moved out of state and switched doctors who did do imaging, turns out I had a brain tumor at the skull base that needed removed as it was growing rapidly. She refused to do imaging on me, and blamed it on another issue. Same with a fibroid adenoma in my breast, refused to do testing. RUN as fast as you can away from her
Dr. Abdel-Kader saw me at the Providence Urgent Care Clinic after I was diagnosed with DVT in the emergency room the night before. Having not set up a Primary Care Physician relationship, I was totally unprepared to manage this health challenge. Dr. Abdel-Kader treated me, counseled me, led me through the steps of how to manage this new phase of life, and gave me the prescription I needed to obtain medication.
Saw at st. Peter's hospital in lacey, WA ... Worst doctor I've ever seen. Zero stars if possible.
My elderly mother fell down and was bruised up and complained about terrible pain in groin area and buttocks./hips. Dr Abdulkhader quickly looked at her and told her to walk and just diagnosed her with muscle weakness and told her she just need to start using a walker. I told her "don't you think she needs to get an x-rays ?" and she said "well if she had anything broken she wouldn't be able to walk." Now it is 10 days later, took her to St Peters got an X-Ray she has a fractured broken pelvic.
Keeps me focused during sessions and works to deal with organic disorders associated with TBI's
Dr. Healy is very kind and genuinely cares about you and your health. I would recommend him to a friend.
When I first took my little 89 year old mother to Dr. Grous, mother was concerned, confused and not wanting to go. Dr. Grouse was so amazing with her. She made her feel at ease right away totally explaining everything as to why mother was there to see her. She carefully and thoroughly answered every one of mothers questions. She is amazing! So loving, caring and respectful of how one feels coming into the office. Now mother looks forward to going to see 'the sweet one'!! Thanks so much!
She is a wonderful oncology Dr. Very caring & concerned & has a very sweet personality.
Dr McCloy has been my physician for almost a year and he is an excellent doctor. I can tell he really cares about his patients and takes his time with them.
Very warm, Patient and competent doctor.
short with elderly patients, unable to answer patient or family questions w/o negative response, has made medical mistakes
This doc is the worst I've ever had. She is arrogant, ignores you,and has caused me considerable harm. When I questioned her decisions she had the nerve to ask if my name had an MD after it, and suggested that my education was inferior to hers in every way. Despite the fact that she has caused me to gain around 100 lbs, she said weight wasn't a big deal and won't fix what she's done. She is AWFUL. Stay away, avoid at all cost.
For over two years life was miserable. My diagnosis was spinal stenosis and bulging discs and complications from three prior back surgeries. Dr. Iuliano did a miraculous job of correcting all issues to where I feel 15 years younger. He was the right man for me at the right time and place I would recommend him to anyone. He is not talkative, but he is good
She is incredible. I have been a nurse for 35 years and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a physician who is very knowledgeable, kind and an excellent communicator. Her office staff is very good on follow-through.
This woman was amazing!!! I would recommend her to anyone, everyone, especially in an emergency!
I had to have surgery on my spine November 2nd. It was not a typical surgery due to missing L5 vertebrae, and herniated L4 which left me with Spinal Stenosis and "Foot drop" as well as extreme pain/unable to work for two months. Dr. Iuliano and his surgical team did an excellent job, and I want to express my sincerest gratitude for their exceptional care. I am now four weeks post-op, I was able to return to work two weeks post op. I am standing tall, and my feet are straight. Excellent surgeon!
Very rude, asked questions and would ask another before I had a chance to answer. I felt very attacked and she ended the appointment by leaving the room without saying anything. The reason I was there was never discussed. Extremely frustrating. Have no idea if language barrier was a problem.
Dr. Jiang is thoughtful and positive. Given her large caseload it is surprising to see how up to speed she is on all of the information on my chart and my general condition. I feel comfortable leaving her office. She has helped me though two different cancers and I'm still going.
He knows what he is talking about. Other doctors did not agree, but had to say he made the right call.
Dr. Jansen is truly a great physician. He takes his time and shows he really cares. He's up-front and honest and patient. He always does a very good job of explaining conditions and treatments and alternatives. I highly recommend him.
I saw Dr smitherman about a cervical spinal injury that occurred at work. She had me see her ARNP twice before seeing her. I have moderate to severe cervical spinal foraminal stenosis per 2 MRI's. Dr. Smitherman told me that I do have a problem with my cervical spine and that I should go to the gym to work out to fix my spinal stenosis. I called my primary care physician. My primary care physician called me at 7 that night and told me that I had been dismissed by Dr smitherman . Shame on her
I had appt. with Dr.Smitherman on Aug.29 said she couldn`t help me. She said she would send my results of MRI to my physical therapist and suggest some new exercises. I called Dan Burns office in Ocean Shores and he still have not received anything from Dr. Smitherman. She also was going to send referral to John Miller MD in Aberdeen to have a nerve test done. She did not send any communication to Dr. Miller either. I called Dr. Miller and I do have an appt. with him.
Have been seeing Dr. Standaert for years. Always friendly, informed and concerned. Excellent choice for my health care.
Great insight and advice for only a 30 min appointment; sometimes better than then seeing a regular counselor! Would recommend her in a heartbeat!!
Dr. Singh provided excellent care when I was admitted to the hospital from the ER. I had several doctors, but of all of them, he was the most decisive and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
Poor bedside manner. Gets frustrated when patient has the same medical issue that doesn't get better over time. Dr. also gets defensive and protects other medical Dr.'s if the patient did not agree with course of treatment.
Does a great job understanding his patients and very good at explaining what is wrong.
He's been my son's pediatrician for 1.5 years, and we definitely trust him. My son has had some minor conditions that warranted further examination, and Dr. Woolery has readily offered referrals, and always treated appropriately. He gives sound advice, asks a lot of questions, recalls prior visits, and offers reassurance when needed. We've found him to have a pleasant bedside manor as well, which is especially important for children, and he doesn't talk down to parents.
I have been seeing Dr Lechner for follow up cancer for ten years. He is excellent, and goes beyond they ordeary with me and his patience. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Lux listens to what I have to say and gives me honest helpful knowlege and information in a caring manor
Dr.lykins is one of the best doctor 's I've had. He cares about his patients health and helps find the best ways to get you on the right track. If it wasn't for him I don't know where I would be. He is one of the very few that actually cares and wants to truly help.
Outstanding, comprehensive, compassionate physician. She knows medicine and listens carefully. In 60 years the best physician I have found...and I come from a health care administration background.
She was nice, but talked more to the doctor she was training and not me. She wouldn't look at any of the journaling they asked me to do about my pain and in the end was unable to help with anything and didn't explain much. She didn't say when we were done she just left. The appointment was all in all a waste of every ones time and it took a month to even get in with her. The MA I spoke with when I called to give permission to release my information to a family member was also very rude.
I went with my daughter to ER because she was experiencing severe back pain. Dr. Lincoln was so nice. We felt very confotable and assured. He was very professional and courteous and friendly. Awesome bedside manner. If he sees this I want to say thanks for doing what you do and for being a personable Dr.
She was very serious about my health and my son's and was also very compassionate at the same time. I absolutely love that office and everyone that works there. My kids are 5 and 20 months and I still stop in there to say hi :)
I have been impressed with Dr. Leighty's genuine concern and sincere efforts to resolve my health issues. He takes the time to listen and style of care is to work with rather than dictate to the client. He takes time both before the examinations to explain options and choices, explain any procedure he is performing and spends time after the examination explaining exactly what he believe is the best course of action. I have had no trouble either with billing or securing an appointment.
Dr Unruh is AMAZING! You can tell she really cares about you/all of her patients. She actually sits away from the computer and faces you to talk with you (a rarity these days)! Dr Unruh is respectful of your feelings and your time (she was maybe a minute late and apologized for making me wait, and I never felt rushed), warm and accepting of everyone. Best physician I've been to in a long time.
I leave a four-star recommendation for Dr. Stein instead of a five star only because I've haven't had him as my physician long enough to "bump him up" another star. I like him. He's a knowledgeable and pleasant man and seems interested in my health care and takes as long as necessary on my visits.
Dr. Turgano is a joy to have as a partner in my health! She is a kind, caring, doctor who sincerely wants to help her patients, and she takes the time to listen. I enthusiastically recommend her!
Dr. Stein has been the the primary for my 3 young children for about a year now and we couldn't be happier. The kids adore him, he is excellent with them and even makes visits fun and full of laughs. We haven't had any major health concerns as of yet, but he seems very knowledgeable and is an excellent listener when I've got a question or concern. I would absolutely recommend him to a friend or family member, but I do wish he wasn't always booked out at least a month or two.
I could not understand her so I was lacking in education about having an oompherectomy. Then they punctured my small intestine while inserting camera and left me in the hospital for a week never coming back to check on me or release me. Then she and Dr Chang would not answer my questions at follow up appointment. To top it off my bowels have never been the same and I have to stick to a soft bland diet like when I left the hospital 3 years later still in pain everyday.
Does not address the immediate problems at hand. His assistant does a cursory history and minimal exam and Dr. Stein doesn't really have any hands-on examination of the patient. They fill out the EHR extensively, but not really much in the way of addressing obvious problems with the patient. IMHO
Been my Doctor for years. Good person to work with.
Dr. Purtteman took over for my previous Physician, who retired. I was amazed at her attention to detail, her listening skills .... and her overall knowledge and demeanor. My wife and I have recommended Dr. Purtteman to several of our friends. She is a truly good and caring Doctor.
He saved my life more than once.
Absolutely wonderful caring doctor, who actually listens to her patients. Even went to bat for me with my insurance company. She even called me after hours with my MRI results. She is definitely all about her patients.
She has always done her very best to see that I have the care I need. If she doesn't know an answer she confers with her supervisor and co-workers. I have found her to be especially caring, empathetic, knowledgable, and helpful in every way.
He talks over patients. I did not feel he was listening to me at all. I choose women as care providers, but saw Dr. Peck on an urgent care matter. Never again will I doubt my preference for women practitioners. Would ask if he's my only option if I ever have to go back to urgent care at Providence West Olympia.
Dr. Newell-Eggert was very focused on my problem (which turned out to be carpal tunnel), spent a LOT of time with me to diagnose me and was friendly, soft-spoken and always professional. I highly recommend her.
She has moved across the street to Group Health. Fantastic DO with amazing manner. and use of manipulation
He is a nice guy however he has never touched me or examined me. Not sure why as I have so many major health issues.
My daughter saw him 4 times at an inpatient facility. Despite multiple diagnoses over multiple years of Psychiatric care/therapy/crisis counseling, he repeatedly implied that she was lying and stated that she was definitely not bipolar. She was in the middle of a 6 month mania, during which she had a very major surgery with several months recovery; physically she was too exhausted to manifest typically. She got NO help! It took me years to get her to admit herself and she never will again now!
After a very complicated set of issues including CVA, High pain secondary to it a great variety of Ortho damages as well as kidney failure and ALOC, she states she cannot help me and wants me to leave her office because she cannot handle my issues. I have tried all the drugs they have and they do not manage pain. She is angry when I ask a technical question and has a terrible bedside manner. Her specialists aren't any better. I was treated better by Army privates and Vet techs from Air Force.
Lacking in knowledge about my medical problem. Worst bedside manner I've ever had! Office staff is gossipy and unprofessional!
