Dr Eschenroeder is a quality doc bar none! He did my right hip replacement 4/28/2011 and I was back at work in 4 weeks and 4 days!! I had a posterior replacement (my heavy body frame) with general anethstheia. I was operated on about 8 am and I was standing by 4 pm and walking to the bath (with assistance) by 6pm. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Eschenroeder or his team. The PT team had me climbing stairs the next day. I can not say enough wonderful things about Eschenroeder.
Dr. Kenny has been a tremendous help in my fight with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis. He stays up to date with current research and genuinely cares how I am feeling. He keeps my Family doctor up to date with my progress. Because there are so few Rhumatologists in Lynchburg it is hard to get established but if you can wait it out you will be glad.
Damaged nerve in forearm after bicep tendon repair. Told to wait, would repair itself. Had to have nerve graft from another surgeon but repair was too late to help nerve work again. Damaged left hand use for life. I do not recommend using Dr. Andrews on two counts: botched surgery and wrong advice.
Best doctor in the building
I have seen Dr. Diminick for several years for my knees and a couple times for my shoulder. He is very compassionate, and listens extremely well. The treatments he has done have been helpful to a point but since I need knee replacement they are only temporary. I have talked with people who have had hip or knee replacements from him and they said he did an excellent job.
3 years ago I was injured in a motorcycle race at VIR. While the injuries werent severe, they were enough to require downtime to heal! The care of Dr Lewis was outstanding! From his knowledge to his manner, to explaining things about my injuries, he was and is simply the best!
Dr. Botterill is a phenomenal Doctor. She is well respected, capable,
caring and is a credit to her profession.
I saw Dr. Gondi April 18th for the first time. He is one of the best doctors that I have seen in a very long time. He took his time with me, asking and answering any questions and concerns that I had. But later I found out that he doesn't have a insurance number with my insurance company and he is considered out of network. So unfortunately I can not see him for my knee problems anymore and now have to travel further to see a doctor that is in my network.
Dr. McCowan is one of the nicest doctors I've ever had. She's very thourough and makes sure you understand everything.
After consulting with other doctors who wanted to put me into rehabilitation for my terrible arms pain, I went to Dr. Stem who, after looking at the MRI, knew immediately what was the problem. He did a great surgery, fusing 5 vertebrae. (C-2 to C-7). No more pain, no visible scar. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
The best orthopedic Dr....... He really cares and shows concern for your injury or problem.
Excellent job fixing my pinky finger where I had degloved the tip. Can't thank you enough
I was referred to Dr. Kiernan by the rheumatologist at the same facility who was unable to diagnose the problems w/the painful, swelling, knotted up joints of my fingers. Dr. Kiernan said "Well, why did you come see ME about this?" He looked at my hands and said "It's just old age." I'm 54 and this problem came on suddenly. He said "Look, I can make my fingers look the same way if I hold them just right!" That was it--I was not taken seriously & was ridiculed. Needs his license yanked!
DR GONDI WAS PATIENT, PROFESSIONAL AND INFORMATIVE FROM MY ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS UNTIL MY RELEASE FOR WORK. HE REPAIRED MY ACHILLES TENDON, SET MY HEEL AND FOOT STRAIGHT, AND INSERTED A BOLT IN MY HEEL. HE WASN'T PUT-OFF BY MY FEAR OF NEEDLES AND PAIN. HE IS AN ENCOURAGER TO GET THE JOB DONE. THANK YOU.
Dr. Stem is a wonderful surgeon! He is very knowledgable and goes above & beyond for his patients. Spine surgery changed my life and I'm lucky to have had Dr. Stem support me through it and my recovery!
Dr. Diminic messed up my 83 year old mother's hip surgery (she was 76 at the time) leaving her in everyday pain and a dropped foot.
She lost her job over this and had to go bankrupt. Her quality of life has been destroyed. Her case was dismiss in court without any explanation. Now she has been blacklisted by the medical group he works for. Beware.
Dr. Huerta did a nerve block on my left side in July. I had a lot of pain relieve. A few days ago I had 2 nerve blocks. One on each side and so far I am feeling a lot less pain. For me this Dr. had been awesome.
Dr Stem did my spinal fusion 4 years ago and I'm so thankful I did! I was in the hospital for 10 days and there wasn't a day he didn't come by to see me or call. I had a follow up yesterday and it was identical to 4 years ago.
It was the worse. He NEVER read my chart. He wrote things on my chart that he NEVER asked me i.e.: don't have a hot tub (I do) never use seat belts ( I ABSOLUTELY do). On top of that he told I don't know what's wrong with your hand. You need to see a rheumatologist "he'll just send you back to me". Well, I never went back and a chiropractor did help. What a HORRIBLE experience. A friend went to him as well and her experience was just as bad.
Not much, really didn't help
My GP did blood work two months ago that came back positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has referred me to Dr Kenny. That was over 6 weeks ago and I'm STILL waiting for an appointment??
Good thing this disease isn't life threatening!
Looks like I may have to travel 70 miles to Charlottesville, Va for treatment!
I highly recommend Dr. Barnard.. He is a excellent surgeon. I had a total knee replacement without any problems due to his skill. My husband needs a hip replacement and he was so impressed with Dr. Barnard that he wishes that he did this type of surgery.
PERFECT doctor, did a excellent job for my mother Betty harlow
Knowledgeable, great bedside manner, thorough, and caring!
