Saw Dr. Arthur in and out of the hospital in 2015 w/ a small bowel obstruction - where she told me she refused surgical intervention because I did not have insurance. Upon seeing her in her office I overheard her whispering to her receptionist about my payment plan before even calling me back to a room. She told me she didn't know what caused my obstruction and sent me on my way. For 2 years I suffered in pain until another surgeon opened me up and found the issue w/o a problem.
I saw Dr. May as a referral patient. When we went for the appointment, Dr. May had read all of the medical studies and tests that were performed. He spent a great deal of time with us. I asked many questions, all of which were answered. Dr. May was very good at explaining the results of the tests, the treatment options and the assessment of my condition. Not only that, he answered my wife's questions as well. They also saw us on time. I would recommend Dr. May.
Dr Seoudi has had the most personal, detailed attention to my mother's case. He is also very intelligent and analytical and determined to see his patients back at 100%.
Poor bedside manners. Does not take the time to explain or listen to help engage the patient in the decision making process for plan of care. Very rude and unprofessional to his staff. Belittles them in the presence of the patient and family. Displays anger and frustration to staff, patients and family. This doctor would benefit from a emotional intelligence class.
I was in the hospital for a little over a week for a sever case of shingles on my face & very close to my left eye which I was very close to losing. She was amazing!! She put both my wife & myself at ease & really helped explain treatment options & was always available whenever any issues came up. She has a very calm demeanor & has the respect of all the staff at INOVA Fairfax around her. Words can't describe how much we will always be grateful for how she handled what was a very rare case.
She has no social and interaction skills. You wonder how she gets away with that and why she is practicing medicine. She can make money working outside her current field. Physicians need compassion, communicative skills, patience to listen to patients and humility in order to accomplish their life saving mission.
I was referred by my primary physician. Overall the appointment was fine. However, I felt Dr. Vyas was irritated I visited him for my condition. He ordered tests and did not contact me with the results. I subsequently visited my primary physician and she instructed me to reach out to Dr. Vyas for the results. I did, no response. After seeing another neurologist, I was referred to an endocrinologist due to these test results. I could have been on the path to recovery a month earlier!!!!
He's a sellout. He will sell you out just to look good to for his administration even if he knows they are in the wrong.
Dr. Windham is very patient and caring. He listened intently to my concerns. Made us feel like he genuinely cared and would help get answers to my condition. Such a pleasant change!!
My opinion is that she does not seem competent. She also was not available and caused numerous delays in my dad's discharge from INOVA Fairfax.
After waiting a month to get an appointment with Dr. Vyas in Leesburg, he kept us waiting over half an hour in the exam room. When he finally did arrive he spent 10 minutes with us and avoided our questions. We left with orders for a CAT scan and after completing that test he never called to tell us the results even after contacting him by email and phone to remind him we were waiting. Total waste of money. Had to cisit another neurosurgeon to get results and followup care.
Dr. Vyas spent time with my husband and myself explaining findings and treatment options. Was very willing to answer questions. Great bed-side manner. Wonderful experience with the office staff. Personally conducted follow up phone calls with my husband. Would highly recommend Dr. Vyas for nonsurgical consults. Thank you Dr. Vyas for the amazing care.
Dr. Vanikar is the rudest Dr. I have ever met. My father had a stroke and we were in the hospital for 5 long days. On the day of discharge, we wrote down some basic questions so we can ask her. And when we asked her, she was rude, short, sarcastic and very humiliating. She was talking like we were stupid. One of my questions was that, can he drive and her answer was basically that he did not have a stroke in his eyes so he can obviously drive.
I do not recommend her at all.
Dr. Vyas was very thorough with a nice manner. I understood my surgery option and it went very well. A very good experience with such a delicate matter! I am so thankful!
Very helpful post-op. Visited ICU every day.
As a physician, it's actually not that easy to select a primary care physician for oneself. This was not the case with Dr. Cross. I felt at ease from our first appointment, and have continued to see him for the past few years. I've even recommended him to other colleagues and family members. He is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. He takes time to listen, and never makes me feel rushed. He is up to date with medical guidelines, yet is still able to provide personalized care.
Excellent practitioner. Very Knowledgeable and very skillful.
Calm demeanor, took the time to answer the million questions I asked him. Most importantly, he provided great care to my son who was very sick at the time as did his nursing staff.
Never. Worst doctor experience ever. Never explains anything. Is condensing and rude. Does not show any care.
ER visit, rude, spent two minutes with me, then billed $1500 to my insurance company. My insurance company informed me that they hire a 3rd party to set the fair and customary rate for services, then pay the doctor the in-network rate. She also double billed. She won't take calls to make this right, instead, hires a 3rd party collections firm that operates in bad faith. They call this a debt, I've received no bills from this Dr., yet she shuffles me to a collection firm 30 days after ER visit.
Worst doctor I've ever dealt with in my life. Incredibly unprofessional, condescending and rude. Also refused to let me speak to the other doctor on staff during my visit. Unbelievable.
I saw Dr Goodwin in the Inova ER after a misdiagnosis by an urgent care provider. She was thorough and very clear in her communication and just seems to get it no matter what types of patients she's dealing with. I overheard her with other patients (it was the ER, there are mere curtains dividing us) and she handled each one with exactly what was needed (elderly, middle age (me), men, women). If you're unfortunate enough to end up in the ER, you'd be lucky to have Dr. Goodwin attending to you.
