The vertigo disappeared the afternoon you treated me , approximately three weeks ago , and
It has not returned..
Thanks again for your time and expertise.
Competent, friendly, shows and explains test results, On-time. Happy.
I NEEDED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, WAITED 10 MINUTES ON HOLD, SPENT 5 MINUTES CHANGING MY ADDRESS, AND THEN THE PERSON TELLS ME THE FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT IS JULY 17TH. IT IS MAY 22. I CAN'T WAIT 2 MONTHS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, I'VE ALREADY BEEN DEALING WITH IT WAY TOO LONG. I AM BEYOND FURIOUS. I WILL NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO HIM OR THE NEUROLOGY CENTER OF FAIRFAX AGAIN. FURIOUS.
Like her a lot; clearly know her stuff (by being frank about uncertainties) when asked frank about disease and its progression prospects and variation, and about what is and is not known about Parkinson's and related conditions; lets me be flip or sardonic.
I fell down the stairs last year and suffered head trauma, a very serious concussion, and some fractured/broken bones. I was referred to Dr. Richard because I was experiencing severe vertigo afterwards. I saw him on two occasions and he was friendly, took the time to ask me questions and to explain what he was doing and what particular exercises I should do at home.
I had been struggling with severe back pain for over a year, and after undergoing numerous diagnostic tests, having seen 3 well regarded orthopedic surgeons and numerous pain doctors, no one could pinpoint why or where the pain was stemming from. I was referred to Dr. TekRony by the last ortho and within 6 weeks Doc TekRony took me from tears of pain to tears of joy. I can't thank Dr. TekRony and his staff enough for giving me my life back and getting me quickly on the road to recovery.
Friendly thorough gave all options to resolve issue responded to email question within a few hours
Dr. Richards performed a nerve conduction velocity (NCV) 2 part test on my foot. He put 2 needles in my foot, & ran electricity into my foot, (above location where I have 2 screws), causing my ankle to break; bone marrow edema w/bruise to the talar head, as reported in 2 MRIs. He didn't tell me that my ankle was broken, he said my foot and ankle were fine, though my ankle hurt badly. It's been over a year for my ankle to heal w/o his help. Electricity & steel screws don't mix well.Run AWAY
Has been my MS doctor for over five years. He's excellent and a real sweetheart. Heart of gold and a no nonsense, very competent neurologist. Definitely would recommend him.
Excellent. Doesn't waste time. Made HUGE difference for me. Very good at understanding human body. Reminds me a bit of doc martin. Intelligent, heart of gold, not as good at social graces.
Dr. Castro is pleasant enough; however, I prefer someone who is a bit more aggressive and cutting edge in addressing issues. My main concern is regarding their office administrative practices. They scheduled an appt for me months ahead and the week of the appointment I was called to re-schedule because Dr. Castro doesn't work on the day I was scheduled. Then they wouldn't reschedule my appointment because I didn't have access to my new insurance info at that moment. Patient unfriendly practices
Listened well, was thorough without being clinical, very personable, great experience.
She's good at her job, but be wary...is like a factory at the neurology center. They charge you a mandatory copay just to come back to discuss results that can be easily done on the phone. Highly disappointed and will never go back.
I have seen Dr Tekrony for 4 yrs now. i have seen so many neurologists for my dystonia blepharospasm problem in both CA - VA state,.No one can really solves my problem. Dr Tekrony is the smartest Dr i have ever known. My problem was subsided significantly after few visits/treatments. He cares for patients. He is very focus in his work. I would recommend him to anyone of my family, relatives and friends. The office staff is great.
I arrived for my first appointment ten minutes early and waited an hour and a half to be seen. Dr. Castro seems like a nice and competent doctor. Then I missed my next appointment. My daughter had written all over my calendar and I didn't see the appointment. I called but they charged me $75 for a missed appointment. I think that's pretty steep. Then I cancelled my next appointment. They didn't cancel it! I called to cancel it again and they refused to give me written confirmation of the cance
Extremely competent, very personable. Patient in explaining issues.
I chose Dr. Dietz to be my Neurologist after my original neurologist left the VA area. And what a great choice it was. I have Parkinson's ((8 years) and on my first visit, an unhurried hour,, with my wife, she conducted a very thorough review of my history and symptoms. I have had chronic neck pain for years and Dr. Dietz said it could be relieved with injection of Botox-like material directly into my neck. It's been 2 weeks since that injection and the pain is almost gone. Five stars!
Dr. Stephenson is a superb neurologist! He listens closely to all your concerns - and addresses each of them. It's been about 6 years since I've been in his care - and I've found him to consistently provide excellent care each and every time!
