Review of Dr. Wellborn

- in Alexandria , VA |

Dr Wellborn is the best, bar none. I have been going to him for 20 yrs, had surgery, as well as seeing him for ongoing orthopedic problems.

Dr. Wellborn performed a double knee replacement for me several years ago and I can confirm that the procedure was outstanding and whole heartedly recommend Dr. Wellborn for your orthopedic needs.

Review of Dr. Paik

-none |

I saw Dr. Paik for a shoulder and back injury, and would highly recommend him to any friend or family member. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail the nature of my injuries and the treatment that was required. He referred me to a great physical therapy center that has helped a lot with my pain. His office staff were also very friendly and easily accessible.

Review of Dr. Nirschl

Dr. Robert Nirschl is extremely rude. I had a consultation for my mother who lives with me and has arthritis in her back. He recommended that my mother will end up in a wheelchair and that I should have her admitted to a nursing home. I was offended, and my mother very hurts, because we went there to find a solution to a health problem not to get social work advised. This doctor has no compassion for his elderly patients even when he is elderly himself.

Review of Dr. Wellborn

- in Falls Church, VA |

Dr. Wellborn is a pleasant and caring surgeon. He was referred to us through Michigan State University based on their research of the best joint replacement Doctors in the DMV area. He lived up to the billing. I can't imagine a better practitioner. In addition, he is patient and willing to put those he is serving at ease with thorough explanations and involvement. Lastly, the Virginia Hospital environment in which he works provides a wonderful environment for recovery.

Review of Dr. Root

-Alexandria, VA |

I initially saw Dr. Root about 5 years ago when I wanted a second opinion on a wrist injury. My first impression was that she was an incredibly skilled doctor and very intelligent. So when I had trouble with the other wrist, there was no doubt as to which doctor I would go to. She quickly assessed my wrist and gave me options that included an MRI. The next visit, as we discussed the MRI results, I mentioned the previous (opposite) wrist injury. She changed her thought process to evaluate bo

Review of Dr. Root

- in Falls Church, VA |

My mother fell and broke her wrist. We were recommended to Dr. Root by the hospital emergency room staff. Though she had a busy schedule she worked us in so we could be seen quickly. She was very kind and gentle with my mother, which I greatly appreciate. My mother can be difficult to work with but Dr. Root took her time and explained everything so my mother was more comfortable. We had several follow up visits and we could not be happier with our service and care from the entire staff.

Review of Dr. Wellborn

....Two months after a very successful hip replacement surgery.... I am very grateful to Dr. Wellborn for his masterful expertise, confidence and support... Everything turned out as ordinary as he indicated... In my case there was no pain or major discomfort (beyond the swelling of the affected muscles) I wholeheartedly & highly recommend him to anyone...! The office staff and the Physical Therapy group also, did a thorough professional job... I thank them as well..

Review of Dr. Root

- in McLean |

My dissatisfaction is not so much with this doctor as it is with her office and their customer service. My entire family frequent the Nirchl Orthopedic practice. We changed our health insurance to be more available to them. When I called in urgent need of an appointment for a hand injury, I was told that I would be treated like a "new patient" since I hadn't seen her in 5 years. I had see two other doctors in that practice less than 3 months earlier. The receptionist was curt and unkind.

Dr. Root:
I apologize for the front desk problems. We had a very new receptionist working at the desk and obviously her training and supervision was not up to par. She has since been let go and we have a wonder... more

Review of Dr. Wellborn

- in Arlington, VA |

I was blown away when Dr. Wellborn asked me ?What else?? at the end of our visit. Most doctors these days spend little time with patients ? not Dr. Wellborn. He was an attentive listener, asked lots of questions, and showed true concern. Finally, he offered to help me get more physical therapy visits authorized by my insurance. I am lucky to have Dr. Wellborn caring for my total knee replacement, a procedure I did with an out-of-town surgeon, something that didn't seem to bother him at all.
