I saw this physician because I was ill and my regular physician was booked up for several weeks; Dr. Speakman was the only physician who had an opening. He was pleasant enough but the exam was very cursory and he didn't review my medical record to see what pre-existing diseases I had. Because he didn't suggest an inhaler or nasal spray for my condition, I wound up getting another illness... My impression is that he doesn't seem very passionate about his field.
Our family have been patients of Dr. Berman for almost 25 years. Dr. B., as we affectionately call him, has been THE very best doctor that any of us have ever gone to. He is thorough, caring, consistent, and has always gone the extra mile in caring for our family. We have followed him from where he started at the old FHP hospital to the University of Utah Redstone Health Center. We would NEVER consider anyone else...why would you leave the BEST!
After waiting over an hour for him to get in the room- he spent a whole 10 min with me. Gave me a benign answer to my issue, told me to go to physical therapy and sent me on my way. He didn't mention my MRI at all. when i brought it up right before he left the room he casually said oh yeah it was all normal. i asked him what my option for pain were then and he told me PT and it would go away. i was unhappy with this so i got a second opinion and turns out- my MRI was NOT normal.
OUTSTANDING! So happy to have found her. Best Primary Doctor visit I have ever had. Dr. Scales doesn't just go thru the motions and check the blocks - she takes the time to ask questions and LISTEN. Nurse and Front Desk Person were also fantastic.
I see words like caring and rare, but that has not been my experience. My wait times are often 30+ minutes. Not once in 15 years has he ever asked me about my health or recommended regular health checks and I'm almost 50. He has been my doctor for 15 years and every visits feels like the first visit. Twice in 15 years I've asked him to renew a prescription 4 days ahead of schedule and both times rejected.Reason potential abuse -.15 years and you don't know if I abuse my medication?
I was a patient of Dr. Hamilton over six annual visits. He was rough and perfunctory; abrasive and loud from my observation. Brash, arrogant, his usual comportment in the clinic when I was present expectable of a person half his age.
