Review of Dr. Cabanillas

Then don’t try Dr Julie Johnson at Moffitt that is exactly what she did. She stated she was having my slides re-read my chief pathologist and then doesn’t remember the conversation. She also ordered blood test and had a 20 min conversation about it with me, not only were there no orders in the lab there wasn’t dictation in her notes. I changed drs and now my other Drs at Moffitt are referring me out like I’ve been black balled at the whole facility. And I am a high risk patient.

I strongly encourage anyone that unfortunately is diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer to reconsider and even request a physician change if you are unfortunately assigned to Dr. Maria Cabanillas. She is not considerate or demonstrate any type of reasonable bedside manner or decorum. She literally lied to my face and my wifes face saying she never suggested specific treatment. I will spare everyone the drama but I will say that if you want care, you will not receive it from Dr. Maria Cabanillas.

He had an excellent bedside manner. He took the time to listen to me and answer my questions in a way I could understand.

Review of Dr. Weitzman

Dr. Weitzman is an excellent physician. He is knowledgeable, thorough, meticulous in his attention to detail, and in the care he provides. His concern for my health is superior to any doctor I have ever seen. I would highly recommend him.

One of the few doctors I have ever had that listens to what I have to say and then asks questions to figure more out! He truly cares.

Review of Dr. Cabanillas

-Scottsburg, IN |

Dr. Cabanillas is the worst cancer care doctor I have encountered. On my initial visits with her she refused to follow-up in depth to my primary care physicians concerns, and instead overrode his protocol for future imaging and disease tracking. After 5 years of her prohibiting me from getting definitive scans, I now face larger health issues. She denies having ever given me this instruction, though she did consistently. If you want serious attention for your cancer, please run from MDA.

Review of Dr. Hu

- |

I liked the idea of a cancer center and traveled from out of state. Unfortunately, the experience was less than spectacular. The clinical experience with Dr. Hu lacked personalization. She was rushed, condescending, and I didn't feel like she connected or cared...clearly milling through the patients. Worst of all, she didn't offer any different insight than my physicians at home (who actually took the time for me and my family). Will NOT be returning for follow-up with Dr. Hu.

Review of Dr. Hu

The most brilliant, friendly, thorough, helpful doctor I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of really good ones due to my complex health problems. Her whole team is just as impressive. I traveled eleven hours one way to see her. Totally worth it.
