Dr. Khan was not cooperative when I advised her that I would not be giving my son medication she prescribed anymore due to severe diarrhea as a side effect. Further, the prescribed the medication again despite my warning that I would no longer administer it. She became visibly agitated and threw her hands up when I advised her I would be giving my son a safe, non-pharmaceutical alternative to the drug she prescribed. She told me they had not taught her about that herbal supplement. She also refused to give the referral for a specialist I requested. She ignored my input as a parent and patient advocate. Things escalated when I advised her office we were dropping her as our provider. After cancelling an upcoming appointment, her office called back and insisted I keep an appointment she had set on a date and time I had not been provided previously. She sent someone to my home on my son’s birthday to interrogate my children and harass us. I called the office with a very firm message conce

Horrible experience! When to get help for what my therapist thought was depression due to a recent break up. She kept telling me I was sad and anxious because I was not sleeping. Despite me correcting her and explaining that I was getting plenty of sleep and I just had issues with crying spells and concentration, she prescribed medicine to help me sleep. She told me I needed to get a pill box to because patients always forget to take their medicine. I have a chronic condition where I need to take medicine on a daily basis and I have never forgotten my medicine. She implied that my recent break up was because I did not know how to be in a healthy relationship and it was my parents fault because they traumatized me. She then hinted that she wanted to maybe consider me doing psychotherapy with her in her new practice. I already have a therapist and I had told her that at the start of our session! Do not see this doctor! she will make you cry and make you feel a bad about your self.

Constantly cancelled appointments and arrived late to appointments and always has an exscuse. Forgot to refill my depression medication before leaving for break. I went a week without medication as a result and began going through severe discontinuation symptoms (vomiting, increased anxiety, overall nausea). Dr. Wakil is not a reliable doctor. She is disrespectful and tries to mask it as being firm. Would not recommend. Suzanne is great however. So kudos to her staff.

Dr. Wakil saved our daughter's life. Our daughter was suffering from depression and anxiety and was suicidal. By combining a careful approach to medication with family therapy and constant contact with her therapist and school, Dr. Wakil was able to completely turn her around. She is now happy and successful in school with lots of friends rather than miserable. Dr. Wakil is firm but caring and talks straight. She has our trust and our highest recommendation.
