Review of Dr. Staub

- in Richardson, TX |

After several back surgeries to stabilize different areas of my spine, I still had pain in my left leg for two years. Dr. Staub thought out of the box, thinking that perhaps, 80% chance, he could alleviate the pain. Normally, leg pain is not associated with the spine level indicated on the MRI. The surgery did indeed address the leg pain. I never felt rushed in our appointment. Thank you Dr. Staub

I knew I had neck problems and I honestly tried to "just deal with it". I was a flight paramedic for 13 years and spinal surgery was not something I ever wanted to endure. After ignoring my issues for 6 mos, I woke up one morning unable to feel my hands and in more intense pain than I had ever endured. I called TBI and they moved mountains to help me. Every member of TBI, Dr Staub included, has more compassion and professionalism than any clinician I have encountered in my career. Absolute Best

I saw Dr. Staub due to lumbar pain and he quickly diagnosed the issue as one of a curvature problem from previous fusions. He astutely recognized a balance problem and ordered additional tests isolating a cervical compression. A decompression via cervical laminoplasty was completed and six weeks later he performed a L2-3 lateral lumbar interbody fusion with placement of posterior percutaneous pedicle screws. He did remarkablely. I have no pain, normal ROM, better balance, & full function.

I had lumbar spinal fusion surgery performed by Dr. Staub two weeks ago and couldn't be more pleased. It completely eliminated the back and leg pain and the numbness and tingling that I had been experiencing, and I was discharged from the hospital the morning after the procedure. Not surprisingly I have had a minor amount of post operative pain, but meds have controlled it well. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Staub and his entire team at Texas Back and Presby Plano Hospital.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Blake Staub! I had severe spinal stenosis and nerve damage. The decompression surgery sounded scary, but the recovery really wasn’t that bad, people heal differently, however I healed pretty quickly! Dr. Staub knows what he’s doing! At this point, almost 3 months out, I have ALL the feeling back in my limbs! The nerve damage was reversed, and I have full mobility in my neck! No more pain! Dr. Staub and his Assistant Alex did a great job!!! I’m very happy!

Dr Staub gave me my life back. After 2 back surgeries with fusions, I developed pain that ran down my right leg. My neurosurgeon just blew me off and said my back was fine. I needed help and saw Dr Staub. He found an area of abnormal bone growth which he felt could explain my pain. I had surgery to remove this and woke up PAIN FREE for the first time in 4 years. My husband said I finally got my smile back. Dr Staub is not only an accomplished surgeon, but a caring and concerned physician.

In the last 3 years I've had three back surgeries.. My PCP referred me to Dr. Staub based on his technical reputation and ability to explain and educate about surgical and non-surgical options available to any patient. He was extremely attentive and 'user friendly'. There is no reason to fear surgery if it alleviates the problem. He discusses pros and cons. He and his staff educate his patients which lessens anxiety. There is no reason to fear or avoid back surgery if it is warranted.

Dr. Staub is a great doctor that truly cares about his patients! When you think of having spinal surgery, it is very scary! Dr. Staub and Natalia, his PA, were very open to share the surgical outcome possibilities and just as he thought, it was a benign schwannoma tumor. He is very easy to talk to and makes sure that he has answered all of your questions. They had prepared me for what surgery and recovery would be like so there were no surprises. Dr. Staub and his staff are the best!
