Review of Dr. Akbani

- in Beaumont, TX |

For months, he did not read the MRI reports that were monitoring a family member's cancer that was supposedly in remission. Even after this person in my family complained of pain and strange sensations in the original cancer area, he dismissed everything as scar tissue, etc. Once he finally took this person's complaints seriously and looked at the older reports, he did additional testing and found late stage 4 cancer. This person is now near death due to his negligence. Stay away.

This is not against Dr. Malani, as a physician, he is really good. However, his only office is at the Ben Rogers Cancer Center. I went because I was having some abnormal labs and my doctor sent me to him. I went around 5 times to see him. I didn't know that every time I went to see the doctor, I was not only being charged my co-pay, but also a building use fee. I think of the cancer patients who they are charging these fee's to, SHAME ON THEM!!!!
