I wish I had found this website prior to seeing Dr. Austin for the first time. The low ratings don’t surprise me one bit.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Austin to anyone seeking an empathetic doctor with an understanding of mental health conditions. I have never felt more belittled by a medical professional.

I have found Dr. Austin to be rushed and not at all personable. I was with her less than 5 minutes and was charged for a level 4 office visit. (184.00) Her physical examination took less than a minute. This happens each visit, every 6 months. The distressing thing is she usually has a medical student with her, showing them how to practice medicine, I suppose. I’ve looked for notes on “my chart” after my visits, only to find a generic page on nutrition.

Ordered a blood test for my annual physical and submitted it as "routine" to Medicare (they do not cover routine blood tests) and effectively claimed that he was unaware of my age when the test was scheduled???? I have prostate issues and he does not do a manual exam so the only way that he can get ANY insight would be a "medically necessary" blood test. He refused to correct his error making my responsible for an inflated full price blood test. The office personnel are great but I cannot recommend him as your primary physician.

Dr. Brothers is an AWESOME dr. You can tell he really does care about his patients. He is a no nonsense dr. He will tell you like it is, but, to me, that is one of the things that makes him a AWESOME dr. His staff is excellent as well.

Im a new resident to South Carolina. Seeking a good doctor!!! Dr.Austin ( my opinion) is impatient and emotionally unavailable to establish a rapport with a patient. Condescending attitude with sterile behavior undertone. A 10 min conversation doesn't constitute "Establishing a new patient rapport". Not my cup tea! And yet, I gave her a second chance (thinking maybe we just had a bad first impression) Nope...same! Will not be returning.

In my opinion Dr. Amanda Austin seems to be one of those physicians that lets revenue and the pressure of minimizing patient contact time interfere with basic care like listening to patients and discussing options. My experience with her was rushed. Also I told Dr. Austin about previous diagnoses I had and in her notes she claimed she had diagnosed me and then billed me extra. I can't in good conscience recommend her to others seeking thorough care.

I have seen Dr Austin for routine follow up as well as specific diseases. SHe has been thorough, friendly, and competent. Spends an appropriate amount of time for what is needed. MY husband, who is a Cardiologist recently saw her for the first time. HE cannot say enough good about her. he says she is bright and has an excellent depth of medical knowledge. W are both very pleased with her.

Dr. Brothers cares for his patients, he is a very good physician and will be missed. I have never met a doctor so thorough and the best " best side manner that any one could ever possess. Dr. Brothers has been my physician since 2007 to current. He is relocating and will be completely missed. When you have a healthcare provider that actually cares about you and your life your health your family this is a big plus on how well you live. I wish that all healthcare providers were like Dr. Brothers.

Dr. Austin, at Foothills Family Medicine, was my primary healthcare provider from around 2013 until I moved out of the Upstate in 2016. In short, she was an outstanding physician in every way. Usually prompt in seeing me for appointments, always friendly and approachable, and patient in discussing my health. She consistently asked questions to ensure all issues were covered and mapped out my health goals for upcoming appointments. Highly recommended!

Dr. Austin knows her stuff. She's not only very professional but very personal as well. She made me feel as if I had known her forever and always makes my children feel very safe and comfortable. She answers every question I have very thoroughly and always does her very best to accomodate our needs. She's just all around wonderful and I would recommend her for anyone!

Dr. Austin saw my 5yo daughter today. She was seen for constipation. She hasn't been able to go for a week. I spoke with her Nurse numerous times yesterday no appt was offered. I asked for one and got it for today. Dr. Austin refused to give my daughter a note for yesterday because I didn't see her. I said what if she still can't go tomorrow? She said I'll give her a note if I see her. This is a 5yo school note, not a missed 2 possibly 3 days of work note. I'm disgusted. NEVER AGAIN. 0 help
