Probably the worst psychiatrist I've ever had in over 60 years being treated for anxiety and depression. He supposedly specializes in dysthymia but misdiagnosed me as bipolar, that was a first. He also discontinued an opioid I was on for 30+ years with no warning, refused to answer messages by my pharmacist or myself. Don't be another malpractice victim.

BEWARE of any diagnoses given by Dr. McMeekin. I met him in The Rader Institute for weight loss, where he gave me a shocking diagnosis, which led to 31 years of treatment for multiple diagnoses, which now I know were WRONG all together. I was on so much unnecessary medication, that I was constantly up & down emotionally. My relationship with my family & my only child has been forever changed. Dr. McMeekin had me believing that he was saving my life. I was so over medicated for decades, that I wound up being hospitalized. My visits with Dr. McMeekin had become unproductive. He always appeared distracted & disinterested in whatever I was saying. Quick to write prescriptions, then rush me out the door. He never explained the side effects of the medications he prescribed or the withdrawal, if stopping them. It's been 17 months since I stopped seeing him & stopped all the meds. Now I'm suffering terribly from Antidepressants Discontinuation Syndrome. I was robbed of 31 years of my life.
