If I could leave negative stars, I would. Dr. Garestson is a sad excuse for a Doctor.

This “doctor” didn’t even ask me my symptoms. His NP came in and spent time with me asking question. She was thorough and basically came up with the treatment for one of my issues. I had to bring up the other reason (main reason) for my visit and when I asked about getting to the cause of the problem he basically said Prilosec seems to be working keep doing that. He never asked what was going on and why I was there. When I said I want to understand the cause and not have to take medicine everyday he was condescending, dismissive, and arrogant. I have been having problems for months and this was supposed to be the starting point of figuring out why. It’s obvious he has no interest in anything other than getting patients in and out. I wish I had read reviews before I made my appointment that I waited MONTHS for. People come to the doctor to get answers, not get treated like they are dumb for having questions and wanting to get to the root cause of a problem. I will NEVER see him again.

This “doctor” spent no time with me. His nurse is great. He has no empathy for his patients and rushes them out the door. I have an urgent medical problem, and need medical care. He simply stated we may never know why I experience these symptoms even though they are potentially life threatening. He doesn’t care, and I waited a month to see him.

I don’t know why I continued to see this smug, condescending, person who thinks he is a doctor. He exhibits no empathy, concern for his patients. Recently when very sick I went to his office twice. He never even came into the room. The nurse practitioner asked me some questions and went to talk to him. After two trips to urgent care and hospitalization in ICU for septic shock I am done with him. I wish there was a zero rating.

Dr. Pennington saved my life. If it hadn't have been for him running different blood tests for about 6 weeks, my genetic blood disorder, hereditary hemochromatosis, wouldn't have been detected. He has been the only doctor that has really tried to find answers for me. All these years of being sick, now I know why! Thank you Dr. Pennington!

Dr. Pennington is very friendly and warm, which makes it easy to talk to him about matters, which may be more personal than others. He never rushes and answers all my questions. He shows genuine concern for whatever issues I may be having. He's very thorough and searches for the right solution to any problem. He takes time to explain any necessary procedures and follows up to be sure I am doing well. The nurses and staff at Digestive Disease Associates are all helpful and friendly. Getting an appointment is easy. I definitely recommend Dr. Pennington for any issues with digestive system problems.

Heartless and the whole team including the females at the desk deserve the same treatment they gave me. It’s bad to be in pain and have others basically tell you to have a good day.

In my opinion he is a very smug, condescending and judgmental. Any experience with him as a physician - and I use that term lightly - is always the same. Awful. He acts as though he is the one paying to see you when in fact the patient is paying his salary, so wouldn't you think he would be friendly and compassionate? He is a blight on the doctors that began that practice. Why are there no zeros in your rating system? I would rate him a zero. One star is too high for a person of his caliber. Based upon my experience with doctors from Charlotte to Cleveland Clinic, In my opinion this is a poor excuse for a doctor (?). I would never recommend this doctor and suggest you choose any other doctor in this practice than Garretson He has no compassion, care or concern and is a absolutely no help. In my opinion, he should retire as he must have forgotten the Hippocratic Oath he took when becoming a doctor. Or may be he skipped that part of school. Very disappointing. 0 stars.

Dr Richardson is a very kind, respectful, patient, Doctor. Every time I have seen him in the office or for a procedure he always smiles and treats me as if I were his first patient of the day, even when I have been his last. Never do I feel rushed or unheard.

Saw Dr. Patel about slight bleeding and colonoscopy. Initial history and exam done by his good P.A. Dr. Patel has a nice, breezy manner. He puts you at ease and explains very thoroughly. He works fast, but is willing to listen. An extremely busy office, as they are the only GI folks in town.

This guy had to be convinced three times by the primary care doctor to do an endoscopy, because my family member had lost alot of weight due to vomiting and dehydration. Then he made a routine appt instead of an urgent appointment when my family member was dying of stomach cancer. He reluctantly did the endoscopy, then he found a "massive tumor" in his stomach. "Massive". Then he forgot to actually measure the massive tumor. This guy is completely incompetent. Beware of this lazy doctor.
