Poor 2 stars from the get go she seems intent on doing surgery on my woofed thyroid nodule. I am an orthopedic surgeon and suggested a biopsy instead which she reluctantly agreed to. We did this under ultrasound guide and it was benign still she wanted to proceed with total excision I felt a 6 month follow up made more sense and she agreed to refer us to someone closer to our home. That was never done. No follow up scheduled. Also I ended up with a out of pocket $390 charge not covered by Humana. Our whole experience was clouded because her attitude seemed to be , no surgery, I’m not interested in your issue. Majority of thyroid nodules are benign and we know there was little change over a 3 year period preceding this biopsy. As a surgeon I believe her total approach was suspect in that there was no reason to use caution and reevaluate it

Very impressed with Dr. Gerena. Very informed and professional with a conservative approach to my injury. Was so pleased with this referral. Highly recommend him.

Dr. O'Brien was excellent. Went for a second opinion. He agreed that my second round of different chemicals would be what he would also prescribe. He explained in detail about how the tumor can react and recommended a mutatianal analysis would be beneficial. Well worth the trip from Gainesville, Ga

Dr O'brien is not in the right line of work. He is not kind to his patients and doesn't have any answers. I went thru a treatment program with him and he barely cared about the outcome. He never even visited during one of my treatments. Incredibly long wait time in the waiting room. two hours each time. then wait another hour in the room while he and his staff are on the internet. His staff is rude and uncaring and cannot understand questions being asked of them. I had to call the head of Radiology to get him to make Dr. Obrien call me after months of trying. Then he didn't call but had his nurse email me.

Good doctor, explained things well. Appointment was a little rushed and parking at the facility is poor.

Got me in same day for my rash after I couldn’t find anyone else to see me so quickly

Spent more time with me than my scheduled appointment time.

Very hurried exam, had 3 questions which were glossed over, left feeling the exam was incomplete and questions not given detailed answers. Very personable but always rushed.

Dr. Strand exceeds my husbands and my expectations in every way. Listening, offering solutions in an understandable way. She is thorough, insightful and compassionate. She cares and responds efficiently . Then she follows up thoughtfully. We are lucky to have Dr. Strand here.

Dr. O’Brien was my fathers oncologist before he passed. He was rude and seemed in a hurry on the few occasions we actually met with him in person. He acted as if it was an inconvenience to answer our questions.

Dr Wolpert is absolutely awesome!! The best OBGYN I have ever seen. She is very warm, kind, professional, and knowledgeable. She made me feel so comfortable and did not make me feel rushed at all. I felt like all of my questions and concerns were respected & thoroughly answered. She was also very direct and it appears that she is very balanced in her approach to care. She provided all the information in a way that I could easily understand. Highly recommended!

Dr. Hanger is awesome! I can’t believe anyone would say he has bad bedside manner. He jokes to lighten the situation, but it honestly made me feel so much less anxious and didn’t make me feel like I was just a patient. I went home feeling less stressed than I have in months. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr Gerena saw me directly, no PA. He explained my situation well, answered questions, discussed related issues and the provided me with treatment options. He is a pleasant and friendly person. I would recommend him without hesitation. Great X-ray tech and CMA, and pleasant receptionists, too.

Terrible standard of care/coordination at MUSC by Dr Fann. My parents were in a car wreck and ended up in Dr Fanns care at MUSC for 3-4 days. We asked to speak with him several times to find out what was going on but never saw or heard from him. My dad got severely dehydrated in the hospital because they wouldn’t let him eat or drink in case he needed surgery but didn’t put him on an iv!! He did not get his normal meds for afib so heart was acting up. After almost 2 days they finally started giving him his heart pills but he was throwing up snd couldn’t keep them down so his heart rhythm was bad. Again-should have gotten meds thru iv. Finally got food and I forced nurses to give him iv. Dad lost 6 lbs in 3 days and he’s not a big guy. Parents got worse in hospital instead of better. I have never experienced such a poor standard of care, lack of coordination. Saw 1 geriatric dr while there-never saw/got a call from Fann who was supposedly in charge of their care. Not impressed with MUSC

Dr. Wolpert is knowledgeable, caring, and attentive. She answered every single one of my questions, no matter how many I had. She clearly outlined my options and never judged me for which one I chose. When I was having a medical issue at the end of my pregnancy, she delivered the news with clarity and empathy, calling me later that day with more information. I feel extremely lucky that I found her!

Dr. Head proved to be a friendly face and a well-below average physician. Her attention to detail was abysmal and her response time non-existent. I actually had to remind her verbally and via the email portal what tests and bloodwork needed scheduling (not kidding). I wouldn’t see her or anyone at MUSC MFM practice. My experience is based on having had my first child in a major metropolitan area surrounded by any number of world-renowned physicians. My disappointment at her service and that of MUSC was so great I considered filing a medical malpractice suit.

Dr. Rowland is awesome Neurosurgeon. Dr. Rowland did my neck surgery in 2017 year at MUSC. He is a caring and understanding person. Dr. Rowland was my second opinion for cervical neck surgery. Dr. Rowland also discuss my case with colleagues and other colleagues about my case and which type/kind of neck surgery to do and to have several plans on the neck surgery.Dr. Rowland made sure that we did all of the necessary tests, x-rays, mri, ct Angio head & neck before having my cervical neck surgery. Dr. Rowland got rid of my head pain that was coming from the back of my head/whiplash during surgery. A month after surgeryDe. Rowland and I went over the before vs. after surgery and if we made the best decision to do the surgery. Yes, the surgery was very successful and the outcome was also very successful. I highly recommend Dr. Rowland.

Excellent. Have extensive skin cancer and he has offered alternative treatment to moh surgery.
