Very bad person
Please FIND A DIFFERENT Dr. I had bloodwork that specified critical antibodies in Nov 2016. My Primary Care is also associated with Carolina Health Specialist as is Dr. Conaway. It took 4 months to get my Appoint in Feb 2017, Confirmed for no known reason they canceled my Appoint. Did not seem to care. Unhappily Rescheduled for April 2017. Confirmed and guess what they CANCELLED AGAIN! Six months and no Appoint. UNBELIEVABLE!!! A good Rheumatologist is tough to find. Beware of this one!
She was professional, knew what she was talking about and very personable! I felt like I had known her for a long time and this was my first visit!
Professional. Knowledgeable answering questions. Doesn't make you feel rushed or made to hurry through visit. Wait time minimal. Each patient gets all time required before visit end. Confident in Dr. Covington expertise.
Dr. Bumbalo is my Pulmonologist!
My first visit with him was for a 2nd opinion re; my lung disease. That 1st visit did it for me.
I'm thrilled I found a Doctor that takes time to explain my condition and what to expect.
I was hospitalized recently for another illness and didn't think to put his name down at admissions. I saw him last week, he said please notify me the next time, I want to be in the loop and perhaps run a few tests.
I give him 20 stars.
I have since moved on from Dr Karr because I found her to be rude and insensitive. Sure she's wonderful as long as you think the same way she does, however if you don't she can't be bothered. I guess I shouldn't be surprised in a medical community that just cashes in and really doesn't care about patients because we are all disposable.
Dr. Covington has been my Doctor over ten years now. Before I had seen many doctors and only Dr. Covington was able to properly diagnose and offer proper treatment. Dr. Covington will explain in detail any questions, he understands and cares about you.
If you have no or "bad" insurance, tell him, for me he has prescribed less costly meds and test. He is very knowledgable about meds and side effects. I trust Dr. Covington 100% and because of him I am healthier and have a better quality life.
I brought my asthmatic daughter to Dr. Bumbalo for treatment. He and his staff were amazing, thorough and caring. Dr. Bumbalo put my daughter on a maintenance program for her asthma and she is doing amazing. She has not used her rescue inhaler in over three weeks, when she used to use it daily. She is no longer sneezing, coughing or wheezing on a daily basis. I am thrilled with this doctor and his team.
I met Dr Becker while I was being treated in the ER. Not the best place, but I was very glad to have him as part of my team that day. He listened to me, took what I said was happening into consideration, and validated what I knew and explained what I didn't know. Best part of that ER experience. And I have continued with him as my lung specialist since that time. I am very happy to have his as an integral doctor in my quest to get and stay as healthy as possible.
Dr. Coradi diagnosed my mom in the ER and he was right about her diagnosis even though it was hard for our family to accept. He's a thorough and compassionate Doctor. He showed my mother great kindness. Wonderful bedside manor. Two years later I ran into him and he still remembered my mom and again showed compassion and understanding for the loss of my mother.
I established w/Dr. Blue after mvg to the MB area - I am overweight, over 60 w/a history of high chol. (provided in history) AND told her my A1c's were climbing. Dr. Blue didn't order either test. I told her nurse ( always rude) on 2nd visit. 9 months later, feeling very ill, I got an appt. She grimaced when she saw my list of things to discuss and talked over me but I insisted on an A1c and a lipid. I don't need a consult. I'm an RN. I need meds! Call them in and don't waste my time!
Dr. Bumbalo, very caring and very nice!
Dr K. Carr is my Primary Doctor for the last 2 years. She is professional, sincere, dedicated in caring about me and my health issues. I want to also thank the entire staff who welcome you and go out of their way to ensure I am quickly taken care of. I sent a request yesterday regarding hard copies of my Lab work and Sandra Godbolt quickly responded and my Lab copies are in the mail. Thanks to a Magnificent Staff. Linda Soeder
She always takes the time to listen to what you have to say.
My experience was very comfortable with her. I had her for 5 years. I had to come back to Pa. until June of this year. I can't wait to have her again. A family emergency brought me here to Pa. and I am very anxious to return to her. She is very knowledgeable in her practice. Just last month I had recommended someone who lives there to have her! I am very pleased with her and always will be.
Provided emergency treatment that produced improvement in condition.
I left the ER with some confusion as to plan for over the weekend in regard to current other medications and treatment in light of the current medical problem of an emergent nature.
Spent a lot of time explaining things, warm and friendly, prompt, filled all my prescriptions right away, ordered all of my annual preventative exams, blood work, screenings the same day at my request for convenience. Seriously, the best Dr. appt. I have ever had. So much so, I remember telling the receptionist how wonderful the whole experience was when I checked out.
I am very disgusted with this office and Ledy. My prescription had 5 months left out of the year and they would not send my blood pressure medicine to the CVS in SC because I moved to NC. I have been on vacation before and had my medicine transferred. I was even picking up my medicine at the SC location. On top of that it's Blood Pressure medicine!!!!! Completely careless. This practice doesn't return phone calls and takes days to get back to you.The office manager is also completely incompetent
I am always satisfied with the level of care I receive from Corey. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a Rheumatologist.
Great Doc. very professional and caring.
Just got out of hospital for nine days with pneumonia. Called for appointment and couldn't see me until June. Dr. Duff who is NOT my Dr. could see me next week.
Where is the Dr. patient relationship.
I am going elsewhere.
I have complete trust in Ledy. She listens to the patient. She doesn't leave stones unturned. Very thorough. Caring is her strength. I give her the highest of recommendations
Excellent Service great Doctor. Very concerned with patients care.
She is ER doctor ..Office info don't apply
He is the best of the best. Patient, kind, understanding a true southern gentleman! Very knowledgeable and able to talk with his patients so they can understand what he tells them.
This is my second visit with PA Catherine Rowell. She is very professional and very knowledgeable in her field. She takes the time with you and I find her to be very caring in your health. I would place her at the very top when it comes to PAs. I highly recommend her if you are looking for the very best in health care.
Always helpful and truly takes the time to explain options. He seems to actually care about your well being. You are not a number but a person
He takes his time and is very thorough!
Dr. Mount is excellent, very caring and knowledgable, particularly at diagnosis and explanation. However, it is nearly impossible to get Carolina Health Specialists to answer the telephone for either scheduling or to speak with the nurse. There is no means available to speck with a physician. While Dr.Mount is superb, the organizational structure and patient concern is impossibly bad.
Awful experience. I haven't seen my actual physician at Carolina Health Specialists in 3 years because he never has any availability. So I get stuck with seeing Catherine, who is cold, uncaring and has no bedside manner. Then most impersonal doctor's office I've ever experienced, you're better off going to urgent care. I will not be going back to CHS.
If you want someone to blindly write prescriptions and miss easy to diagnose ailments, look no further! I loved the ease at which she would give me the drugs I needed. I called her due to withdrawls from meds, her nurses don't pass on messages by the way, and she told me that I "sounded fine to her." She can apparently diagnose over the phone!
Dr Sherrod was quick to treat my migraine headache. He did an outstanding job, along with nurses that unfortunately I was in so much pain I can't remember their names!
Dr Sherrod looked up my past treatment regimen and also added a migraine treatment called imitrex.
I had suffered all day with a migraine and his friendliness and quick work got me out of pain and out the door quickly.
Thank you so much Dr Sherrod!
My husband and I love her. We recommended her to friends and they live her too.
Very detailed, careful, takes time, explains, best doctor at understanding, diagnosing, and explaining, I've ever met in 77 years of life. Worried about transferring from Boston and Harvard Trained Doctors, this Dr. is better than any Boston doc I was ever referred to.
The Physicians Assistant, Catherine Rowell administered a drug test without first telling me what she was looking for. Then based on bogus results I was taken off the only medication that worked for me. In doing so, this assistant took me off a controlled substance I had been on 12+ years. This gave me withdrawals and I had cardiac related issues. If you must go here, see a Dr - not a less educated assistant.
Extremely poor bedside manner. Condescending. Will interrupt you and blame you for your condition. His time is too valuable to be bothered.
super friendly environment. felt very comfortable and at ease with everyone.
Extremely poor bedside manner. Spoke with me for less than 5 minutes and made me feel rushed and uncomfortable.
I find Dr Mount to be very caring and to truly listen to what I have to say. I never feel rushed. That's important to me.
Wonderful caring Doctor. Best doctor in this area. Would recommend her highly!
I have seen Dr Senn several times. Since then, I have asked him to be my primary care physician. He has been very thorough and attentive. He is professional and knowledgeable. It is quick and easy to get an appointment.
1st doctor to listen to what was happening to me and atleast made the effort to figure it out
She is kind & knowledgeable, she spends time with her patients & refers out to a specialist, if it's needed. (I'd give her 10*stars, even if it only goes to 5*!) The Staff is friendly & checking in & out is pleasant & done with ease.. unlike some physicians offices where staff can be rude or very public with patients conditions or diagnoses. Staff that works in the Lab area are also caring & treat patients with respect. She is caring & spends the appropriate amount of time with each visit. TY!
She is very concerned for you and your health. She does not rush you in. Also she listens to all you have to say.
Dr Molnar saw our daughter in the ER while we were vacationing. I cannot express how very thankful we are to him.
He thoughtfully diagnosed our daughter without unnecessary tests and followed up with us the day after.
Dr. Mount got to the bottom of diagnosing severe reactions to surgical procedures. She put a name to it and now has given me advice for future procedures. I appreciate her taking a personal interest in finding why I was having reactions .
Great communicator and it was obvious he read my chart and knew my medical history. Too notch staff, and he expkained what was hapoening and what to expect. I never felt rushed, and I keft knowing my care was in good hands. highly recommend. ????
Dr McCampbell is a wonderful doctor. Old fashion follow up. Thank you for caring about us.
Dr Lazarr is my superhero! i have suffered with pain for years and took multiple types of medication that my PAST Dr's did not even take the time to find out how it would affect me. Dr Lazarr is knowledgable , genuine, caring, patient, thoughtful and the best listener I have ever encountered. He has helped me immensely and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Dr. Lazarr, from the bottom of my heart!
Just had several visits with Dr Lazar. Very impressed with him. Took his time talking with me. I liked his honesty and how he handled my appointment. Very smart young man.
I seen Dr.Lazar a few days ago, I have suffered for years and finally have some hope. He was just so easy to talk to and really took time and listened . He was very knowledgeable. I cant recommend him enough .
My situation at this time to receive medical attention is a very difficult one, but Dr Lazar took the time to see me and showed great concern, and is looking into options available for me to receive the care that I need at this time. The entire staff, as well as Dr Lazar is very friendly, and assisted me in many ways, as well as showing great care, and concern for my needs. I highly recommend.
I love her . I had lost all faith in doctors because if one mis diagnosising me wrong ending upon life support . Dr McNair restored my faith , she is patient , compassionate , i live this lady ,
I moved here from Michigan and was looking for an endocrinologist because of my past history with thyroid cancer. Well now I am taveling back to Michigan. It seems like all Carolina Health Specialist care about is getting as much money as possible. Doctor appointment $250 blood test $180 and throat scan at the hospital for $850. The doctor in Michigan did everything for in house for $200. Nurse was very unprofessional. Dr LaRochelle was professional but lacked knowledge of my previous doctor.
Too fast, not a real exam
I highly recommend Dr. LaRochelle. She is approachable and knowledgeable. She sat and answered all my questions and I never felt as though she had one foot out the door!
Several years ago my mother suffered an accident so severe that one of the best surgeons in South Carolina equated it to stepping on an IED in Iraq. She ended with steel bands holding her chest together after weeks of intensive care, and is now on disability. After moving to NMB, she needed a new pain dr. to fill her Fentanyl prescription.
Dr. Mayhew treated her like a drug addict and she cried the entire ride home. Apparently she did not seem "disabled enough". Avoid like the plague
Visited her for the first time today. She went over my records and told me more about my history
than the doctor I had before. I was very impressed with what she said and what she planned to do
as far as my treatment in the future. I will definitely keep her as my doctor.
Being new to the area I was concerned about finding a "new" doctor. I was so amazed at the level of care and professionalism Dr Mason exhibited.
Dr. Mason takes the time to ask questions and complete a deep discovery to develop an accurate diagnosis and wellness plan. Her attention to detail, caring bedside manner and knowledge all make a fantastic experience.
I felt very comfortable and secure knowing I choose the right doctor.
I was treated the rudest I have ever been treated in my life by Dr. Mason's nurse, who slammed the door on me twice and huffed out of the room when I told her I was in the office for an annual physical, which I had scheduled a year ago, instead of a "wellness visit" which I did not need, since I had that in June. Dr. Mason herself never came in to see me and clear this confusion up. Never have I seen anyone as unprofessional as this nurse was today. I will find a new doctor.
My husband has "white coat syndrome" - afraid of doctors. Finally got him to see Dr. Tammy (1st doctor visit in @ 40 yrs) & he trusts her implicitly. Won't see anyone else! She got his blood pressure down, gave him referrals for his shoulder & knees, & basically calmed him down. We both love her!!
I told the P.A. that I thought that I might have fibromyalgia. I then named a few prescriptions commonly used to treat it another physician told me about. She then said, “She had no idea.” She’s a P.A. that works in a pain clinic she should know that. I list a few symptoms related to my condition to the doctor. He tells me that my trapezius goes into spasm. So I suggest muscle relaxers. He refused that idea and basically put me on more Gaba. Then the staff was unprofessional and rude.
I have been in Myrtle Beach for 15 years. Tammy Melgar is the 2nd person who really helped me an listened to me when explaining my symptoms. I have a long history of medical problems and because of the idiots affiliated with Waccamaw Hosp. I almost lost a leg 2 yrs ago, so it takes a lot to get my trust these days. I was suppose to have a follow-up yesterday with Tammy and blood work to check my A1C and an infection on my leg, now the office says I don't need the blood work Love her!!!
Has been my primary doctor for about 10 years or more.
I have been very happy with his knowledge of medicine, and have had no problems in all the time he has been treating me.
Always finds time to answer my medical questions or makes time to get me my answer.
Friendly and a "regular guy ".
Very good & caring doctor.
Dr. David Lazar is an excellent doctor. He actually took the time and LISTENED to all the problems that I was experiencing. He has an excellent demeanor and does not rush you. I have not found a doctor down here in Florida like Dr. David Lazar! He is definitely worth seeing if your having any rheumatological problems.
Excellent physician. Dr Lazar is attentive, caring, and compassionate. The staff is very helpful. Cindy at the front desk answers calls and responds in a timely manner. There are few physician offices that have caring staff and this is one of them. Thank you for all of your help. I highly recommend this physician.
Dr. Mason and her staff are the best medical team I have ever had. Dr. Mason is super knowledgeable and understanding. She is efficient and thorough. Her team are incredibly understanding. They are resourceful and accommodating. I live abroad, but, I wait to have my physicals and follow ups with Dr. Mason. Totally recommend.
I had a problem with my wrists and could not hold even a paper clip. Dr. Lazar was very patient with me and diagnosed me correctly. He prescribed the right medicine for my gout. He saved me from so much pain. His office staff is a pleasure. He is a fantastic Doctor !!!!!
My husband suffers from Gout, which is a serious and painful illness. It's painful to watch someone go through this, and its a real struggle for him to keep it under control. After only a few weeks of being treated by Dr. Lazar, my husband is completely cured and his levels have gone from 11 to under 6 in less than two months. He is no longer in pain and can live a normal life thanks to the care and treatment of Dr Lazar. Dr. Lazar is exceptional professional and is passionate of his craft.
Dr. Michaelis is the bomb.com
Always listens, good personality, great doctor! Anyone who says different is a hater. Just sayin!
I have great respect for Dr Lazar as a physician and a person. He really cares! I was referred to him to seek a diagnosis. Even thought Dr Lazar and many other doctors suspected my replaced knee was the problem, it took over 2 years to diagnose. My body is rejecting the titanium in the knee and made me very ill. Even though I had not seen Dr Lazar for over a year, he remembered me and my case. If you are in need of a fantastic rheumatologist, he will do everything in his power to help you.
Dr. Lazar used the very latest of technology to diagnose and treat my arthritis. His warm and empathetic and caring manner is outstanding. Thank you Doctor for being there for me. Good luck in your new offices.
Totally love dr Mason and her staff. I drive 2 hrs to see her and will not change drs. She listens and understands my issues. Thank you for your quality service.
I would never recommend Dr. Anne LaRochelle! Because I questioned the reason for an office visit where she was not prepared to discuss my biopsy results and why I should have to pay for that visit, she emailed me and told me that I need to find another doctor. I thought Dr.s were suppose to be prepared when you arrived rather than telling you that she doesn't have sufficient information but pay for the office visit anyway at $200 a pop. Totally unprofessional in my opinion.
Dr, Mayhew has been the only Doctor that has been willing to help me with my RSD. I have nerve damage to my left leg from knee down and have not been able to get a doctor to work on my left knee, Dr. Mayhew didn't even hesitate to do injection in both my knee's, and I've been like this for 6 years. I have been seeing Dr. Mayhew for a little less then a year and he has already gave me 2 injections in both my knee's.
She is amazing! She listens! She went to bat with my insurance company to get me medication I needed but they did not want to pay for. She got it approved! Something the last two doctors were not able to do. She treated me like a grown up who was aware of her health and recognized problems. I never felt rushed, I felt important. She and her staff are wonderful, and caring.
Coming to a new area, I was nervous about finding a new Pain Specialist. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to discuss your condition in detail. The procedure he performed for me was far less painful than I expected. He took his time and explained everything along the way.
I have found Dr. Mayhew to always be a very caring and qualified doctor and would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I also appreciate the fact that the people who assist him are always very friendly and helpful when you call his office or go in for an appointment.
Dr. Mayhew is a very kind and VERY Knowledgeable Doctor. He is very thorough and well respected by other Doctors. I'm being treated for pain due to a broken foot that won't heal and also, have been diagnosed with RSD, which is a nerve pain disorder, that is not widely recognized by all Doctors. However, Dr. Mayhew is very well versed on this medical condition. I had a nerve block done today and Dr. Mayhew and his nurse were so kind, gentle and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Mayhew!!!
Does not listen to patient nor explain treatment options
Impressed at my first visit. Her nurse spent quality time with me prior to seeing the doctor ...and then the doctor spent an amazing amount of time with me. She did not seem rushed at all, went over every health issue, gave me her game plan. I was impressed and looking forward to moving forward with good health.
I saw Dr. Lark in the ER & he was very kind & attentive. However the major issue I had was the fact that he would only give me a referral of the what doctor he thought I needed. He did acknowledge the doctor that I explained I had been trying to get in to see & said she was very good & would be great for my specific issue, but told me that he couldn't do anything about giving me a referral for her. This doesn't make any sense at all, there should have been referrals for both doctors.
