Review of Dr. Frohock Jr

- |

Dr. Frohock never administered an anesthetic to me. A nurse stuck a needle in the back of my hand with a 4th of an inch long tubing sticking out of it. Dr. Frohock never introduced himself to me. A nurse pointed him out as the man with the red hair and scarf on his head. He was in the OR the whole time. I continuously asked when was I going to get something in me that would relax me. Dr. Frohock sarcastically said that he was going to have to talk to those nurses about taking all the patients' anesthesia. In the OR he began discussing his up and coming trip to Japan with Dr. Thompson. I begged Dr. T. to please do something about my wakefulness, and he said that was Dr. F.'s job. I heard in detail every procedure during my surgery. I had a full blown panic attack, and it did not seem important to Dr. T. After the surgery, I was about to get in my car, when I noticed that needle still in my hand. I asked the nurses why was that in my hand. They raced to get alcohol and a bandaid.

Dr. Stevens was very patient and attentive to my needs before my surgery. He took time to answer all my questions I had before heading to the operating room. I felt very comfortable in his care. My surgery went well.

Review of Dr. Atkinson

- in North Charleston, SC |

My husband had a total knee replacement and unfortunately he was awake and in pain during the surgery. During his first knee replacement surgery in Feb 2016, he was asleep and intubated. Everything went well. This surgery 12/29 he was given a spinal, which was not suppose to happen. Unfortunately, he heard and felt many parts of the procedure. It bothered him so much he requested ear plugs and was denied. Under NO circumstances will we use or recommend this anesthesiologist or his group.

Review of Dr. Herrin

- in Charleston, SC |

Explained the options for anaesthesia thoroughly and succinctly. Allayed all my fears. I didn't even notice dropping off into sleep. I awoke 5 minutes after the complete left hip arthroplasty procedure was completed by Dr. Patrick J. Murray in exactly the same state as before the surgery, less my anxiety! I experienced absolutely no confusion, disorientation, dreaming, or negative impact of any kind. I was worried I would feel pain from the spinal epidural. I did not. Thank You!!!

Dr Frohawk took the time to make sure I was comfortable and made an easy time less stressful before my surgery. I wish all doctors had the same patience and care for their patients. I would highly recommend him.
