Dr. Puhalla is extremely intelligent, as well as responsive to personal needs. At least for breast cancer, she is excellent, and I can't say too many good things.

She is kind & knows treatment options for hormone blocker therapy post-op of breast cancer. I would of given her 3.5 stars. I met with her to discuss hormone blocker therapy & also to consider her as my new hemo/ono doctor due to proximity to my home. I elected not to have her manage my rare blood disease M.P.N. (PV) Jak2+ because I did not feel confident in her lack of knowledge regarding the question she ask me, what is the number your hemo/ono uses to constitute treatment. That she had one patient with PV that did well with tamoxifen. She is knowledgeable & kind however I did not feel confident to switching to her to manage my PV. I would recommend her if you are void of any rare blood diseases in the M.P.N. classes.

Each visit with my wife w had to wait at least 2 hours. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable for someone waiting to hear about cancer testing results. I feel she did not properly inform us of the breast cancer the first time and we came back for a recurrence. Second round and I don't think she provided us with the best treatment options. We went to another doctor.

I was like this with breast cancer. I was scheduled for chemo. Dr. Puhalla found that I had a rare blood disorder, and was able to switch my chemo treatments. If she would've found my rare blood disorder I would've certainly died with the chemo that I was originally supposed to have she saved my life I will be forever grateful. Best doctor you can ever ask for.
