Review of Dr. Fischbach

Absolutely wonderful doctor! I was misdiagnosed for over 10 years with a doctor who cared about nothing and no one. I used to wait up to 3 hrs for this doctor to never show. Anyways I found dr Fischach when I was very very sick be my current doctor didn’t know what he was doing. Dr Fischbach saved my life! I’m not joking I wanted to die and he saw right away I was bipolar and needed right meds. He did save my life and he’s wonderful with knowing medication and so knowledgeable

During very first visit ignored 15 year clinical record of depression/anxiety and without conducting any testing or developing any independent clinical record declared that I had misdiagnosed for near 20 years and was in fact bipolar. Check his reviews -- I am not the only one. This guy has serious ethical issues.

Unfortunately I am in total agreement with most of these negative comments. He is quite possibly the rudest doctor I have ever seen. Condescending is definitely the right word for this man. Like others have noted, he has written incorrect doses of my medication on more than one occasion. I have never once been seen on time for my scheduled appointment and when seen, he is cursory and judgemental. It is very concerning that this man works with people who are struggling emptionally.

I do not recommend Dr. Fischbach. He is disorganized; every script had to be checked for correct dosage and quantity. He violates HIPAA using a non-secure cellphone for scheduling and communication via text. I had switch to my PCP when he was out of the country for 3 weeks and upon return would not schedule an emergency appt as I was running out of a drug that needs to be tapered to end. He has never checked that I am okay without this medication. Hard to schedule around standard work day.

Approachable, and he really knows his stuff! Treatments never worked for me until I switched to Dr. Fischbach, and he realized I'd been misdiagnosed for at least five years.

obnoxious and condescending towards patients. Leaves patients waiting in lobby and exits back door without prescribing. leaves office staff to explain why doctor leaves. Think he is prejudice towards black and low income patients.

Asked a lot of important questions to determine a proper diagnosis. Determined a course of action and I am very happy with the results so far. Personable. Professional. Responsive.

Blatantly ignorant towards his patients. Extremely disorganized. No staff to assist him. Very judgemental and talks about other patients.

First and foremost, please be aware that on the second or third appointment Dr. Fischbach solicits online reviews from his patients. He is knowledgeable in regard to pharmacology but is very disorganized, a terrible listener, and doesn't pay attention to his patients. I've had to both fill him in on my time under his care when he can't be bothered to find my chart *and* have had to wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment on numerous occasions. He has NO staff helping him with scheduling.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. He seems very interested and helpful when you are a new patient. But once he is met with the slightest inconvenience like forgetting your checkbook at home, you are met with a cold reprimand. I once waited 1hr and a half. He forgot entirely about another patient waiting their longer than me. Overprescribed me once and got to the point where I was near suicidal. REFUSES to stop prescribing me a med that I don't take because I can't afford it. Do not go to him.
