Review of Dr. Spyridaki-Dodd

-

Took my autistic son in hopes of finding a new provider with compassion. Dr. Dodd was not it ! Prescribed a medication for him, which we tried and when he had side effects, I contacted her and was told to “make an appointment”. None of her claims on her website about how she cares for her patients are true. This is a adolescent boy who is nonverbal. Waiting for her next appointment was not an option. I have never had a physician refuse to speak to me on the phone or via email or text before,

THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE!!! This lady is such a bad doctor, I have no idea how she even has a license to practice. For one, NEGLECT is a form of abuse. She met with me, told me I had these health issues and has since, done nothing to help. It's literally a doctor telling you you're sick, but denies you treatment and neglects to help you get better. She didn't accept my calls, emails. She keeps telling me she can't meet with me and a HOST of other things. DO NOT GO TO HER!!!

Review of Dr. Meyers

-Pittsburgh, PA |

A few years ago, during a failing part of a marriage, Dr. Meyers provided very practical and insightful feedback on each party's wants and needs. Although the marriage still failed, the counseling that Dr. Meyers offered helped me to see that it was inevitable, and that I wasn't the horrible person my spouse seemed to think I had become. I was just talking to a friend who was looking for a pragmatic counselor, and Dr. Meyer's name immediately came to mind.

She is very rude and dismissive. She made me feel very uncomfortable on several occasions.

Her approach to mental health management is to change medication regimens, even when changes are not warranted. Was prescribed a potentially dangerous combination of drugs despite my long-time medication working.

Ordered urine test. OK, no problem. Two weeks later, she tells me the sample was too dilute and demands a new test---this time observed---that same day before my appointment (a few hours away). Getting less OK. Nobody does observed tests, so she eventually relents and allows me to take a normal test---with this stipulation: IF THE NEXT SAMPLE IS TOO DILUTE, SHE WILL STOP PRESCRIBING MY ANTIPSYCHOTIC. (Ironically, this med's fact sheet suggests drinking a lot of water.)

I went for medication management. She changed my medication for my own good (I had been stable for some time) and succeeded in triggering bipolar episodes. She finally agreed to re-instate my old medication; I became stable again. However, she is unreliable (several canceled appointments which had to be re-scheduled) and does not listen well. I found out when calling for an appointment she had gone on leave with no instructions as to med refills. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Although he treated us with respect, his care ended the moment you leave the office. we have been trying to get answers from him for over 4 months now with NO response what so ever.
